Btw Pale Moon made a LOT of updates recently, and a lot of sites that used to not work on it are now functional. Consider updating to the latest version, it has support for optional chaining and some other Regexp improvements.

I haven't field tested this, but I think copying and overwriting cookies.sqlite, webappsstore.sqlite and places.sqlite may work.

Yeah but I don't wanna override all the cookies. In my case, I just want to import cookies for a specific site or two.

No. The iMacros extension only works on the old version. At least the version of the iMacro extension that I use and is the best.

The new iMacros extension is a piece of shit

Just for clarity's sake:

Legacy FF to Pale Moon : use cookie XPI (mega link in previous message - - if the XPI doesn't work, just edit the install.rdf to include the FF GUID)
Pale Moon to Legacy FF: use cookie XPI

New FF to Legacy FF: use FF Netscape Cookie to export from New FF, use cookie XPI to import into legacy FF
Legacy FF to New FF: use cookie XPI to export from legacy FF, and ???? for import into new FF (suggested: sqlite method)

New FF to Pale Moon: use FF Netscape Cookie to export from New FF, use cookie XPI to import into Pale Moon
Pale Moon to New FF: use cookie XPI to export from Pale Moon, and ???? for import into new FF (suggested: sqlite method)

On SQLite: overwriting the file would replace existing cookies, of course. An alternative would be to directly edit the sqlite db. I've used DBeaver to edit sqlite files in the past, but it's been a while. Again, worth a shot, may help edit the cookies db quicker.

I've never used it tbh, but it seems built into AutoIT as a default library so it should work for automating adding entries into cookies sqlite.

So I installed the extension on legacy Palemoon and Legacy Firefox - advanced_cookie_manager-5.12-fx

I got the extension from the repository of Firefox legacy extensions, so, well, here's the inaccessible link that can only be accessed if you install the extension that allows you to see these haha - caa:addon/cookie-manager

Anyway I added that extension on both browsers, I exported the Insta cookies from Palemoon, imported it in Firefox. Did the same for Twitch. Worked

Actually, upon checking it seems this method exports ALL the cookies, not only for a specific site. Even though when exporting I selected only specific cookies. Anyway thankfully it didn't make me login into a wrong account this time. But for the next one I'll open the saved file and remove every entry except the ones I want. Should be okay.

Well, probably. But that only goes for a browser where you're using banking and crypto and serious things I would imagine. Let's be paranoid and expand it to the entire machine you're using it on. Better safe than sorry right.

But when you have computers and lap tops that the only thing they do is bot, and you never use them for anything else, security is more or less irrelevant.

Yeah that's true, it's a bitch keeping things going with old versions of browsers.

My problem is that that I use iMacros for automation, which keeps me bound to older versions of Firefox/Palemoon etc.

Yes, there is a newer version of iMacros, but it's not free, and it sucks. It really sucks.

The only other solution is for me to pay someone to make bots for me or to sit and learn Selenium and automate myself. But ain't nobody got the money and time for that haha

So I stick with what I use and know and works, until the patient dies, and then I'll get pressed and learn some new magic

Well, some people are still sticked to Windows 7 version, haha...

I have no doubts there are people who might have very old versions of their browsers

Windows 7 is for noobs. Windows XP is the only way to live

But seriously now, I believe Windows 7 for example as an OS is less demanding than Windows 10, so if one was doing botting and was trying to squeeze every bit of computer power for the bots, one could go with an older/different OS. Assuming everything works, it may be a good move.

I stick to Windows 10 because I can't be bothered with weird bugs, and I have enough computer power nowadays. But downgrading the OS to maximize efficiency is definitely something I'd do.

Well I don't know about "all sites", but it worked for the handful of sites I used it for in the past couple of days.
