Hi guys, we are a team of crypto enthusiasts on a quest to introduce and educate people in the wonderful world of cryptocurrencies through educational animated videos. A year ago we started our YouTube channel and things were looking good. We started gaining some views and subscribers but there was not much engagement.

Currently, we have 6k Subscribers but our new videos get around 100 views and then stop growing... we tried changing some thumbnails and titles, made some adjustments to the format of the scripts, the descriptions, even did some ads... but nothing seems to work, feels like we are sandboxed.

I don't know if I'm allowed to post links to our channel, but to make an idea it is a Finematics type of channel

I feel like the animations are ok, but I don't really know about the titles and thumbnails. We also started with a female VO and now we have a guy who used to be an Esports Caster and I see him as an improvement to our channel.

We tried to do different types of videos, Top 5, Crypto Scenarios, Project reviews... but nothing seems to work for us

Here are a few things we tried:
- YouTube Ads - > spent a few hundred dollars, received a few thousand views but only 5-10 subscribers
- Hired someone to do some SEO and promote our channel and video - > this guy just bought like 10k views and 200 subscribers, kicked him out in a second and turned off monetization on videos he promoted
- Shared our videos on Reddit, Facebook, Twitter, Telegram... you name it - > this is actually how we managed to take this channel from 0 to 2k subscribers. It was working well then, and we were getting like 500 views/video and 20-30 subscribers... but right now we can't even get 100 views.

I know that the crypto market doesn't look so great now, compared to last year and the interest is lowers.. but still.. getting 100 views on a new video from 6k subscribers... feels like shit.

Here are some stats of our channel:

1. Lifetime stats (we monetized the channel 3 months ago)

2. 90 days CTR, Impressions, views and average view duration (our videos are 3 to 7-8 minutes long)
90 days content.JPG

3. Returning and Unique viewers in the last 90 days

How can I get more views on our new videos?
Do you think our channel got penalized or something by YouTube?

Would love to hear your thoughts, thanks!

P.S I will share the link to our channel if a mod confirms that I can do that.

It can be because of type of videos you are making now. The subscribers do ot fund it interesting now and leave. As a result, reach is reduced even more.

Crypto is no longer trending because of the BTC price. If there is no huge money to be made people are just checking out. Some probably got burnt from the price drop and thus are also no longer interested. You must provide unique analysis for people to be interested - by being an actual trader, not an influencer. Being a trader, however, requires a certain amount of skill that can not easily be replicated by other people.

Crypto channel will not get views on millions as it is targeted. But if you have loyal fans, you can still make money with sponsors.

I know that it is somehow a borrowed niche, but my biggest problem is the engagement...

I agree with you on that, it is harder for an educational channel to grow... but look at whiteboardcrypto, we started our channel almost at the same time one year ago, now he is at 700k Subscribers. I know that Theodore has lots of experience with YouTube and he also already had another channel with 2M Subscribers, so how did he do it?

Share with me the channel link. I have interest in crypto and will thus give you good suggestions.
PM sent :D

Getting those loyal fans is my biggest problem. 6.4k Subs and only 100 watch our videos in the first 48 hours

Talking about Whiteboard crypto, I would say he makes good quality "animated" videos + luck. The algorithm picked him up last year in August-September, but now he also is losing views. From 4.6mil to ~900k monthly views. And yes, he got 700k+ subscribers, yet the last 3 videos haven't breached the 60k views mark.

Hii , you can buy bulk of organic views from different geos in some websites, anyway it's hard to find how YT algorithm works but yeh you can try that.
