My Personal Journal: Earning $2000 Every 30 Days

Day 1 Last Update:

Well to wrap everything up, I got a bloated stomach drinking too much lemonade and two glasses of Coke and have eaten dinner twice. Whew!

I have done 13 articles in total out of 30 and my brain can't work well this time around. I will try finish 2 articles for that BHW client. Stay tuned for the thread to check if I did follow through with my plan. lols

Oh, I browse through DP but no decent writing gigs offered. I am still waiting for an email from a guy at DP regarding the virtual assistance job.

I have looked at GAF and bid for 1 project for $1,000 for a month's worth of blog commenting, yahoo answers, forum posting in short promoting websites. I am the 52nd bidder and last time I checked the bids reached to 61.

I want to bid for more projects at GAF but the prices are way, way below! Exploitation is rampant at GAF. I mean $1 per 400-500 word article, original and well-researched. C'mon, who are they kidding? The project buyers posted $1 per article is just a middle man who outsource the work, I have seen it on their profile that they bid for projects and win some, later on outsource the project to someone else.

Most of the bidders there are coming from India and sometimes they bid way too low just to win projects:( It's really frustrating.

Now, I am starting to think which is worst DP or GAF.

It's almost March 2010, and my classmates from law school are going to graduate and me left out. I was suppose to be in 3rd year law school but decided to quit, few weeks before finals. Up until now I am still trying to think whether to continue or not.

I always remind myself if I did not quit I would not have bought a house for financing and have freedom. I can't stand using all my energy and all the hard work reading thick law books. OMG! The trauma I felt during those years due to professors that will insult students straight to the face because they can't answer the question for oral recitation. Whew!

My parents and people who knew I studied in law school wanted me to go back again! I want to but not now when my life is a mess. The school ain't going to run anyways, it will still be there.

Still wondering to sleep or not to sleep that's a question!

don't you think you are trying to do too much work at the same time?
try managing your work in small packets so that you keep up the schedule.also dont try to overburden yourself..this things will end up de-motivating yourself..also keep some time say an hour or so for doing your own money making methods that will earn you decent revenue over the time apart from freelancing..n ya dont skip your studies..btw you are doing great job,,keep it up..

@ thinkingthat: You are right I need to manage my work in small tasks to achieve my goals. I have the tendency to overburden myself and end up not achieving anything.

As to other money making methods that will earn me decent income, this I am trying to figure. What I do know, I earn money from doing freelance work. I read a lot of info here in BHW but it's too much for me to digest and each claiming they earn this and that.

About my studies, I already have a degree in Management Accounting. Law school is my post graduate studies. No worries, one of these days will go back to school.

Thanks for your input and motivating me--

@ everyone: My neck hurts a lot due to stiff neck. I already had thai massage and my sisters doing a massage on my neck still it hurts:( huhuhuhu I did some neck stretching exercise it does work for short period of time only.

I don't think your going to fail with that kind of determination.
You wanna get him off his fat ass, kick him out picking poppies or get him a pair of ladders and start window cleaning, lazy pillock.
Your there racking your brains out and he's out getting pissed, if I were you I'd put him back on the boat in an old suitcase and dropship him back where he came from, 1st class post.

Your husband needs to get his shit together.

No offense.

I would suggest not posting here or any other forums. In fact why are you still here?

You need to focus on your job. I found going at forums will take tons from your time. If youre into freelancing, check the forums where people work and get the most money, their techniques on how they do it.

After that, ban yourself from forums, get to work. I suggest you do freelancing and then try affiliate marketing from free blogging platform such as blogger.

Youve been doing it enough to start on your own now. :)

Take a look at the downloads section on here, there are a few guides that'll teach you systematic methods on how to write and re-write articles in 5-10 minutes a pop.

Anyway keep up the good work jls1985, I'll be following this journal closely.

Keep your head up and look for other things than article writing. i have a Filipino employee that's making more than most americans at IM because he works hard and smart. he works for me and another friend and should make 30k this year.. we pay him great because hes looked at as an integral part in our business, and when hes not available he goes and finds a temp replacement..

Like you, he started in articles but we found he was better suited for fat paced data entry. Thanks to his hard work my partner and I are both realizing our financial goals, and he as well.

A lot of this business is about timing, a little luck, and determination. so keep working hard and all three will align for you.

Good for you man. I've always considered outsourcing permanent staff to the phillipines.

30k a year must be a lot of money out there what with the low cost of living.

Here is a trick that I implement from time to time if you can manage it.

Visit 3w.Steve*Pavlina.c0m and find his archived posts on polyphasic sleep for October 2005.

I was able to hold 2 back to back 8hr work shifts for over 8 months when I needed the $$$.

It was quite a joke when my co-workers would complain about how tired they were when they got to work for my 1st shift job-I had already been working for 8+ hrs and had another 8+ to go....

You can double your work output and change your mindset.........

@ onetoo3com: Yea, been trying to do that. lols. Will save money and send him back where he belong. But if I am going to do that I am a quitter. Problems do come for a reason. I am a very impatient person so this is a way of testing out my patients.

@ Gupnup: I understand your sentiment. But I want him be home and help me with data entry work and research, this is the only way I know people would not scam him. He has been scammed by 2 people already and guess what? All those times I wasn't there with him. We even have to a point of settling matters to pay those scam bags and worst they were my countrymen. They thought my husband is rich and I am the one who settled everything for him. I paid money for those guys in order to shut their mouths up. Talking about being a martyr.

He is a fast researcher and can input data quite fast than me but too bad I don't have any data entry work:( He even scrape emails faster than me. I know his skills, he can do work fast but all of my work is into article writing so I can't give him some work aside from researching for source materials for my articles.

@ jarby: yes, you are in good hands with BHW it's fast:)

@ richerjack: yea, I have seen a lot of software from downloads section especially the Dragon software. Unfortunately, it's a huge file.:( Thanks for the advice will look at that section again.

@ the husband: I already told him that but no luck.

@ everyone: I have closed a deal with a new client:) He is okay with my husband doing work for him. Finally! I hope this will work out well for both of us.

@theWombat: You are such a nice person and for helping out my co-Filipino. I am going to start having an office and have workers work. Helping other Filipinos with no jobs is my goal too. But I don't have enough projects to start off.

@richerjack: Philippines is the best country to outsource work from because we do understand, speak and write English pretty well than Asian countries. Since our medium of instructions in school is English. We are hardworking and can adapt to US culture and other countries too when it comes to work ethics among others.

@itow1: I will try that one out.

Day 2 Update

Off to school now and see my students. I just made a new client hopefully this will be long term.

I earned a total of $27 today from new client.

Day 3

It's quite a busy day today!

1. New client was so excited to have his website go up the top of search engines. Doing article marketing and link building for him.

2. Got a new job as VA (10 hours only) $2 per hour. This is one-time project only.

3. Got 3 new clients for rewriting.

4. Busy making a follow-up for my students in Tourism for their practicum, we will have a day tour at one of the best travel agencies here at our city. I can't believe the manager agreed to my request:)

5. Going to buy a sling bag as prize for the raffle draw for our teachers and students' day today.

6. Got to go to the bank to get my credit card.

----
Paypal got a little bit tricky today, they conducted a random security thingy and they want my credit card number again which happened to be at my bank since my husband accidentally damaged the card when he closed the drawer of the table.

Oh, husband did some work today, doing some data entry.

Things I have learned:

1. Plan out clearly.
2. Stop trying to do a lot of things all at once, I end up not finishing anything.
3. Stick to my plans.
4. Helping and giving back to my students really makes me happy.

Total money earned: $55
