My Personal Journal: Earning $2000 Every 30 Days

This is my first time posting a journal online and making it more public.

What makes this journal different from others? Well, it's mine

To start off been doing online jobs for the past 4 years. Got married last Sept. 2008, my partner lost a job (been jobless since Aug. 2009).

Source of income:

I have worked as a part-time teacher but teaching 10 subjects salary - $200 a month.

I am a tutor, monthly salary $100.

I am a freelance writer with 1 constant client and some clients come and go.

Problems:

1. At the moment living with my parents.

2. Need to pay $1,331 at the end of the month for the mortgage of the house.

3. Internet over due $318.

4. No savings at all!

5. Partner wants to drink spend $22 per week (once a week) inclusive of groceries.

6. Electric bill of $60 a month (sharing with my parents the bill is $120).

Hindrances:

1. Time - spend more time teaching less pay.

2. Partner does some work seldom, does not know how to write articles sticks with data entry work but problem is seldom I get job for this that I can give to my partner.

3. Lack of motivation. I do get bored easily.

4. Writing articles can be oh so tedious and can drain my brain cells. lols

5. Every time partner go out and have some drinks, he always come home pissed and thus affect my article writing job.

One important detail: I live in the Philippines!

Day 1

1. No class today I have the whole day and evening to do the work.

2. Problem occur, younger sister wants to use the computer. My computer got fucked, the technician can't repair it.

3. I got 100 articles for rewrites @ $1.50 from my client in GAF, he pays on time so going to start writing for him and finish 30 articles today.

4. Need to finish 12 articles for my other client from DP, he already paid and I used the money already. I have to finish them all today so that I can get new batch and get paid for it. Rate $2.5 per 400-500 words, so I will be expecting total $60 tonight.

5. Need to finish spinning 3 articles from new client I got here at BHW

Goals for today:

1. finish 30 rewrites
2. finish 12 originals
3. finish 3 spin articles
4. Earn $105 today

How do you and your spouse not have jobs? McDonalds will get you guys 2k in 30 days guaranteed.

There are two of them and they could easily each get 40 hours per week. If they were good employees the managers would be happy to give them overtime also.

@ showsyou and seosutra: I live in the Philippines. Mcdonald's salary in our country is $1 per hour.

Office work (rank and file) Full time work from 8am-5pm is $200 a month approximately. This is gross without deductions. Our bank tellers here do earn the same amount I mentioned. Our sales ladies here, those people in the groceries are earning $3 per day for an 8 hour job. Talking about exploitation.

Call center agents earn about $300-$400 a month. Work is on graveyard shift.

My husband is British (30) and me a Filipina (24). Of course, Filipinos are preferred than foreigners to work. We can still eat but need to work our darn asses off in order to get out from my parents house and start on our own.

Good thing we don't have any kids yet.

Get a Half a Dozen kids soon!

Ok, So did you make any thing or part of 105$ atlest? (till now after all this work?)

How are you living with parents and paying $1.5k rent and utilities each month?

Well good luck kabayan! Can I ask something did your hubband become broke? sorry for the blatant question.

You can PM me kabayan and I can point you to good resources so that you can maximize your time and earn big buck in freelancing..

@eyashwant : I did finish 3 articles going for 10 articles now, before I sleep 30 total.

@srhcom: Well, we bought a house and it's on a financing. The house is still pending construction since they have to develop the land or something. It's the same company my parents bought their house from. It's one of my goals to pay the house with my earnings in freelancing.

I paid the internet bills we have 2 connections from 2 different companies since my husband want to download stuff.


@johnwho: Let's say he is the type of person who lives at the moment and spend every single cent till it's all gone. The company he was working in UK before he came here in the Philippines got broke, so the salary stop sinking into his ATM. He was receiving like 400 pounds a month for almost a year and stopped last Aug. 2009.

He is my technician and fixed my computer every time there are some problems except for the motherboard and stuff.

Day 1 Update

I have done 10 rewrites and this day is full of drama arguing with youngest for the computer since I am doing my work at her computer.

Burst my bubble at my husband since he doesn't want to change the hard disk of my pc and see if it does work. The technician told me that it's the hard disk's fault why the pc won't boot up and the OS won't show up.

Called up the company who suppose to repair my computer and asked for a refund since they have not repaired my computer properly been going to the shop for 3x and I paid $30 for repair of the motherboard and power supply. The woman told me she will call and guess what she hasn't call me back.

Now, I have eaten dinner twice lols! Drink 6 glasses of lemonade already and sleepy. But need to reach my goal and hopefully I will.

Day 1 Update

I am so sleepy and it's 11:16pm here. BHW client sent me an email. I will stop rewriting 30 articles and focus on the 12 articles for BHW client.

So far, I made 13 rewrites today. Hope I have the strength to finish 12 more.

@ everyone: btw, a guy from BHW whom I suspected read this thread sent me a pm that states:

So foolish me, I added him up thinking he will help me out. Of course, he has some good intro and stuff like that and introduces me to autoblogs and he offered to help me out, he can do hosting and installation.

I told him I have 0 in paypal. I can't invest.

You know what he told me, it is somewhat along this line: even how small a business is, you need to invest money.

I replied to him, when I started in article writing I have nothing and invest not a single penny. I am happy to stick with that. I don't invest on something I do not know and that I am not knowledgeable of.

Guess what? He never replied to my last statement. Talking about sales talk...

Day 1 Last Update:

Well to wrap everything up, I got a bloated stomach drinking too much lemonade and two glasses of Coke and have eaten dinner twice. Whew!

I have done 13 articles in total out of 30 and my brain can't work well this time around. I will try finish 2 articles for that BHW client. Stay tuned for the thread to check if I did follow through with my plan. lols

Oh, I browse through DP but no decent writing gigs offered. I am still waiting for an email from a guy at DP regarding the virtual assistance job.

I have looked at GAF and bid for 1 project for $1,000 for a month's worth of blog commenting, yahoo answers, forum posting in short promoting websites. I am the 52nd bidder and last time I checked the bids reached to 61.

I want to bid for more projects at GAF but the prices are way, way below! Exploitation is rampant at GAF. I mean $1 per 400-500 word article, original and well-researched. C'mon, who are they kidding? The project buyers posted $1 per article is just a middle man who outsource the work, I have seen it on their profile that they bid for projects and win some, later on outsource the project to someone else.

Most of the bidders there are coming from India and sometimes they bid way too low just to win projects It's really frustrating.

Now, I am starting to think which is worst DP or GAF.

It's almost March 2010, and my classmates from law school are going to graduate and me left out. I was suppose to be in 3rd year law school but decided to quit, few weeks before finals. Up until now I am still trying to think whether to continue or not.

I always remind myself if I did not quit I would not have bought a house for financing and have freedom. I can't stand using all my energy and all the hard work reading thick law books. OMG! The trauma I felt during those years due to professors that will insult students straight to the face because they can't answer the question for oral recitation. Whew!

My parents and people who knew I studied in law school wanted me to go back again! I want to but not now when my life is a mess. The school ain't going to run anyways, it will still be there.

Still wondering to sleep or not to sleep that's a question!
