Hey Guys,

lately I started to become a Content Creator and so I am going to head over to YouTube.

I am currently creating content for a local athlete(more coming soon), (travel)vlogs and some commercials for local businesses.
I want use YT as some sort of a portfolio for my content creation service as well as my personal space for my vlogs.

So here is my question:

Should I start with different channels one for echo niche? One channel for my content creation service, one for my personal usage with vlogs and one for the local athlete?
Or could I benefit from merging all the content and creating a playlist for each niche on my channel? So I could gain more overall watchtime and followers?

What are you thoughts about the pros and cons for both ways?

I would use different channel for each niche. Reason is its not same viewers. If i see a video recommendation about your eg. travel channel I go there as thats what I like to look at. If I see lots of mixed stuff in your channel about things I not care about I will not come back. If I subscribe same issue, I sub as I like travel and get noticiation about your other niches, local business etc I will unsub right away.

Yes, I thought the same thing at first, but wasn't 100% sure, therefore the thread.
I will go for this and create a channel for each niche.

It is best to use different channels to get better analysis of how the audience interact with your content.

Use different channels
That way, you can target the right audience and improve overall engagement

Thanks for all answers. Now I am sure I will use different channels.
