Many people are selling monetize youtube channels, but why do they sell their channels instead of making a passive income?

Did they grow their channel with organic traffic? If their channel is already monetized or if they know how to grow channels fast, They could keep growing the same channel to millions subs, getting more views and making more money, so probably it is just a scam, so my question is, are there any safe way to buy a monetized channel or they are all fake and scammers?

If you are looking to take one, my advice would be don't fall in those traps. If you are serious abt YT, create a fresh channel and grow it with good content.
I'm not saying all are fake, but it would be too risky to buy these channels then changing to your preferred niche and adding content.

As of my experience, nope.

Don't lie, youtube if you disable monetization once it detects a login from a different ip, if you buy a channel the first thing you do is change the password and transfer the channel to a new account, all that process makes you look suspicious and your channel will not last more than 1 week

How does this process make you look suspicious? YouTube fails to detect spam bots, and they'd have such advanced code in place? Channels with hundreds of thousands of subscribers (if not millions!) get stolen every day, and if these creators don't have a billion Twitter followers to scream to they never get them back. What you're saying is completely untrue.

People sell their monetized channels when they can't find a way to make money with it. Flipping it for money becomes an alternative.
