Good day everyone.

I’ve got a problem. About a week ago, FB traffic shoot up almost 10 times on our website. Traffic is mostly from Sweden, the USA, Ireland,. Our website is Russian and promoted in Russia. It has nothing to do with the above regions. Computers were inspected for viruses, and zero were found. VPN was off.

Can you please help me understand what is going on?

please turn off ads and wait a few days. if the traffic is still increasing and still coming from other countries. then it's not from FB (you can get hacked) if the traffic drops when you turn off the camp then you need to recreate the campaign

maybe your site's ad account was hacked and they posted a bait campaign

Are you using any DNS services to redirect your traffic? if not check the advertisement you bought I know google ads allow you to select your target per country or region, facebook does it with your location too, check the dashboard or the meta business suit and the ads configuration because you can paused it and make changes on any information of the region you selected for the advertisement, or write to facebook customer service so they can check what is happening and why your advertisement is bringing people of other countries but not where you are located or paid for.

First, determine if they have an impact on your revenue. I think it's likely a DoS attack. Do you have a competitor?

Maybe your website got DDOS from other enemies bro
