yes it has many features to automate wordpress, not only create posts (or pages), but also add plugins/themes, do configuration and even install wordpress on your server if you have SSH access.
it is not based on XML-RPX, it is more advanced, it basically logs in like a normal user would and then automates wordpress (with pure HTTP requests, no selenium or other headless browser).

I purchased Argo yesterday!
Spent long hours trying to learn how to auto-publish content with Argo on WordPress sites and encountering the same problem again and again..
I tried Single Post, Mass Mode and Article Mode to publish,
In the single post mode, I only get a successful login status to WP,
In mass mode I get "MASS MODE INITIZALIZED => DONE!" status.
And that's it, I don't see the new posts on my site.
It seems like my settings are fine, I have read the PDF several times and tried searching for answers in the forum & skype group, of course also watched the videos.
No success so far
I know you're super busy, but is there any piece of information or even some screenshots of the proper settings needed to publish on WP out there?

don't worry its likely just a misconfiguration or server issue. if you have any plugins installed already it could also interfere, but anyways of course i'll help you to fix it!
just send a support request via email then we can solve the issue
