I don't have much experience of using this tool but it looks pretty good to me. How good this tools really is and is there a better option than this?

Ahrefs and SEMRush are some of the best for keyword research.

I depends what you're going to use it for. When I did arbirtage, it was super useful because it showed data for bing's syndicated partners.
For SEO i'm using SemRush, but considering switching to ahrefs based of recommendation it's getting here on BHW.

Ubersuggest over Ahrefs??

I have not used Keywordtool, but Google Keyword Planner has worked very well for me and I find it very intuitive to use.

Yess it an great tool , I had used earlier now switched to Google AdWords !

keywordtool.io - good. It shows search queries that Ahrefs does not see.
But it shows incorrect accuracy of search queries.

Will definitely have to follow this thread, as it is very interesting :)

This is pretty much all you need to conduct keyword research.

Sure, tools like SEMrush and Ahrefs help speed up the process, especially when it comes to running a SERP analysis to analyze the relevance and the true keyword difficulty but, if you´re starting out, keywords everywhere it´s all you need.

For $10 you´ll get 100,000 credits and that will be more than enough for you to be busy for some time.

What 1 credit entitles?

You can also disable the chrome extension whenever you´re NOT working to prevent spending credits unnecessarily.

Also, you can turn off features to save even more credits...

Or, disable the entire widget altogether...

Personally, I only turn it off whenever I am not conducting any keyword research work.

is there a better option than this?
Ubersuggest, which is free, also offers keyword suggestions, search volume, etc.
Keyword Surfer is a browser extension that provides keyword search volumes and suggestions directly in Google search results.
Both the above are good alternatives to KeywordTool.

KeywordTool.io is Ok for finding long tail keywords, but its search volume data is not always accurate. It’s useful for ideas, but for deeper analysis, tools like Ahrefs or SEMrush might be better.
