Some people like to show their success, others prefer to keep it as a secret.

I am generally more introverted so it's not my style to brag about the 3k a month I do with my business (which I consider very low but some could consider very high).

But you are absolutely right that inspiration instead of jealousy is what keeps someone going forward in the right direction.

I used to follow guys like meathead1234, Zen19, G-S-T and a few others. All of them had no problems talking about their success.. one of them now has offices all over the world and his company must be worth 10s of millions. I miss those days.

Digital marketing has become mainstream, so it's normal that the demography changed also. It is targeted at newbies now mostly.

For BHW it's better because it keeps having traffic and fresh blood as a business. It's also why the most popular threads are the "how to make 30 dollars a month" threads

Those type of threads have always been here, they always will be.. people need to start somewhere. I started at the bottom, I remember when I started making $100 a week.. the buzz just fuelled me and made me even more hungry for success.

To each their own, if my replies and how I chat here inspire a few people.. then why not, I know it helped me when I first joined here. I guess we’re all different in that respect.

I like reading people's success stories. Especially when they are kind enough to go into details of how they made it. It's definitely inspiring. Everyone starts from somewhere and as long as the learner doesn't spend all their time reading (and not taking action) then people's success stories is one of the things that makes this place interesting imo.

I have tried many SEO services here, Fiverr, Seoclerk.
Spent about the same money as you.
Got zero effect result.

SEO services can work, but - not that "packages" with tons of spam links and spun content, or "PBNs" of domains for $8 each and blasted with GSA
to fake metric, on which you can get backlinks on inner pages and domains has thousands of OBL.

What should work - real PBNs with real backlinks and authority, with low OBL and homepage links.
Also, some people say that making backlinks too early (as you did) does opposite effect:

My own website got pushed deeper into the sandbox after I tried to buy packages from BHW. At some point you just have to find natural links like social media shares and directory citations, etc. in order to get a natural rank. Once you are naturally out of the sandbox, then it's time to start buying all of these packages and what not.
