Does YouTube channel location matters in this case?

I want to start a brand new YouTube channel and hope to get views from tier 1 countries as I hope to monetize the videos the YouTube ads. My question is does the location of my YouTube channel matters to how viewers find my content. To put this in a vivid context, I live in a tier 3 country and hope to get views from tier 1 & 2. Is this possible or I have to make a tier 1 country channel? Thanks

The location does not matter. The only thing that matters is your content. Try to target t1 countries as good as possible. Obviously just because you have English videos, doesn't mean that only US, UK and AUS will watch your video. There are also many other countries that watch English videos.

Maybe to add something. Research niche CPMs beforehand, so you know how much each niche pays out. You might have millions of views but only earn very little, because advertisers just don't spend a lot of money in that niche.

Location of your video viewers matter, NOT where your channel location is.

You should make content targeting those people. Choose topics that interest them.

Your location does not matter. The topics you create the videos on matter the most.
