I honestly don't understand why banks should be incentivised to roll out crypto programs. This new revolutionary crypto finance system should been embraced as their saviour for over-printing fiat.. Why need they be given money for this??

Banks are not printing usdt as far as I know.

some are, but the rest fundamentally will not. fundamentally, the idea of a wallet/storage/lending from someone besides the bank is what is gonna kill banks eventually.

thing is, not everyone will adopt crypto wallets and that's understandable, so banks have a long way to go before they feel any effect.

plus banks offer a lot more than just savings accounts, they are the OG lenders/stakers, and they won't die out anytime soon.

Uhhhh?
Dogecoin is a big shit, i am not going to talk about that. But, It´s funny how a coin that was created as a meme of cryptos is top 15 :)
You can´t compare polygon with BTC. Polygon is a lightning of ethereum. I will try you understand this, Polygon bundle many operations and make a transaction, so you only pay fees of one transaction, and not 100 for example, thats the reason why fees are low in Polygon. So, you can´t compare. You can compare BTC and ethereum for example, and you can say that btc is more secure and ethereum bring more innovation, but not BTC vs Polygon

true, its not apple to apple comparison but for easy of use, polygon really is a godsend and if you compare polygon with Lightning on BTC, there is not much to compare given all the various possibilities available on polygon as compared to just the quick & cheap feature of lightning.

Point well noted. But isn't it somehow a lil bit dumb to compare a Layer 2 to a main Blockchain, which Polygon is...?
"Polygon is a lightning of ethereum"... Last time I checked Polygon was a complete Blockchain on its own unlike Lightening which is dependent on the underlying technology of the Btc blockchain...
