Hey guys,

I made some changes in internal linking of my website to link better to my money pages.
If done right, how long it takes for internal links to kick in so I can start seeing some changes/movements in SERP?

I know that for external links it takes around 2 calendar months to see some good movements. But I don't have any stats for internal links.
Please provide some screenshots of your graphs and dates on when you made internal links and when your positions started to improve.

Thanks!

Do you really think there are a lot of people here who only added internal links and waited for a month or two to see how their rankings will go? Without adding new articles, social signals, backlinks, their site being shared naturally, etc?

It's hard only to single out this one factor and see how it affects rankings and how long does it take to see a boost in rankings.

With that being said, I did add a lot of internal links, but I don't remember the exact date. I guess it was in September, and I saw improvements for some of these pages on 9 September, so it was probably like a couple of first times Google crawled my site. Some of these pages also improved in October. But I didn't track stats and did order a few links at a similar time.

So my guess would be that you see some benefits right away (or within the first few days) while it gets 100% of its juice power after a month or two.

Try checking your crawl rate, it will tell how often the site is being crawled etc. You should see a difference once the site is crawled 2-3 complete times. Depending the sites crawl rate that could take anywhere from 7 days to 30 days.

You can see your crawl rates in google search console via settings

Yea this also makes a lot of sense. Also, how are you a newbie if you registered in 2013? I mean that was like 8 years ago and only few post during that time haha

It depends on your site authority. High authority sites get respidered and reindexed quickly, so changes to their site structure reflect really fast. Low authority sites take a very long time.

There was one case. When I made a link to a page in the content of other pages, I got about 3000 links to this page - the effect is 0. Even after six months. But, for example, I accidentally made a link from the entire site - 3000-4000 thousand pages. I put a link in the menu to a page with 300-400 visitors per month according to ahrefs. During the week, it grew from the 9th position to the first.

In some cases, the effect is negligible
Either way, it improves indexing rate

this is the answer you should be following,
technically, it really depends on the crawl budget and rate and how big is your website to get fully recrawled at a 1st stage,
after this, it shouldn't take anymore than 2-3 weeks to take effect in the serps

but i think server quality also play some role....my server is throttled (using cloudflare worker) for 5 day ...after that google bot decreased the crawl request , which is fine but it has impact on indexing rate

If your site crawl every hours the result will kick on in 1 week. But some of hosting or website looks grabby google now recently crawl very few sites, they limit theire crawl budget. So I will just tell you if your sites Crawl by Googlebot everyday you will see the result in 7-10 days.
