I post in the fitness niche, and all of the hashtags that I can think of have millions of posts.

The only way I can find smaller hashtags is by adding extra words, or adding letters, e.g instead of #squats > #squatworkout

Is this a viable method for posting hashtags? Because I can't imagine many people searching for the smaller hashtag when they could just search the bigger one.

Any examples/strategies for finding good hashtags that anyone can share?

Thank you so much!

You can scrape by hand hashtags, in Instagram app, that are suitable for your account size and content.
You must analyze several metrics in order to get the best combination.

Also, they must be switched from times to times in order to follow your account growth and rank even higher.

But it is better to position yourself in the # most popular, now the reels position well

Niche, account size, engagement rate..

You have to audit your account to understand what you have, your audience and what they like and want to see.
After that, you know what content to publish and what niche hashtags to use.

Then, you just need to find the right hashtags (depends on account metrics) and understand what volume do you need to rank.

You can use IG hashtags generators and try not use pupolar hashtags for your new pages.
