The Reason Why I'm Sticking with the Copy Claim Method

nothing surprising, I wrote to you about this back in October
Yes but because I'm new in this I'm still learning. I have found a lot of other channels that are doing the same and they are not getting frozen. They also upload compilation videos, even 2 videos per day. I think @TanakaLucian said that compilations are the problem but I still don't know what is difference if someone uploads a compilation and someone something else. I have found 3 channels that are owned by the same person and he is getting over 20M views per month.
On 22 videos I have 10M views so far (I didn't expect that my channels are gonna "blow" so fast). So maybe that is a problem too.

But what I have also noticed is that some channels don't use Distrokid/Tunecore/ Cdbaby... anymore. They are using some other distributors now. So maybe I'm gonna try to distribute my music there.

Update: They sent me money today. Songs are still missing but at least I got my money.

I don't understand why big labels claim all kinds of videos, tiktok, compilations, films ... and we block our accounts .. in my opinion it's a distribution problem .. medium and high-profile labels youtube don't claim

Money from content ID youtube or Spotify method ?

You're welcome, man, and good luck to you with trying this method out.

In the follow up video, he says that you can even use multiple content ID songs that you own to further sway the earning split in your favor. Has anyone experience with that? So for example, can I put 4 different content ID songs that I own in a copyrighted video and get 80% of the ad revenue instead of only 50% with 1 content ID song?

It doesn't work like that. 50% is going to yt, and from another 50%, usually, 20% is going to distributor, and 30% to your 4 songs. That means if you have 1 song all 30% is going to that song. But if you have 3 songs in the video every song is getting 10%.

I'm still confuse
How you guys making money ?? How to find old videos/how to claims it ??

Yes, I'm aware of this. But when you use video footage with a copyrighted song that doesn't belong to you for example, they are also getting a cut, right? So I wonder if you can manipulate the split by simply having more content ID songs in the video as explained before. Alternatively even from different distributors if that's required.

Good luck with that OP.
Thank you, good sir, and love your profile pic!

That's a good question, I know video content gets a cut as well.

Watch the video in the thread and just get some new music made.

I'm trying to still figure out what distributors they're using, so far nobody is helping us in that area.

Hi OP thanks for sharing. And also rest of those who are using this method for sharing. This is actually the first time I hear about this so I am still quite confused.
So for this to work, do we need to have our own YT channel/videos with 1k sub and 4k viewing hours? Or do we just input a bunch of our 'own' music into YT library and wait for someone to use it on their videos so that our distribution company can claim them and pay us? Also how do the distribution company find who and which videos are using 'our' music?

Also OP may I pm you to ask some newbie starting out questions? (nothing about your trade secret or anything, just like th beginning setting up stage)

Did you contact the support and ask? Or was it just a delay in payout/glitch on your dashboard?

wow congrats bro they delete music and paid money its cool.

I've tried this on a few videos and It's worked alright. I haven't seen thousands but definitely hundreds. I got an email from Traxx this morning (who I had been using) telling me that they will be dropping YT ContentID on the 18th. I was going with them because they were only taking 10% of the revenue vs 20% like Distrokid. I may try and upload a few more songs before the 18th.

so youtube freezes the money if you use compilations, like tik tok, football, gacha, anime. my question is simply to change the title of the video, removing the compilation and tik tok, or the channel itself is now a compilation for youtube and no longer pays the rights. I have another question, big labels like Universal music, Sony .. youtube is paying their rights without problems even in the compilations?

so basically for this to work, you need to have a YT channel with videos with millions of views .. yes others can use your music but there are millions of music in YT library, so your music might never ever been seen or used by anyone .. and so if i have a YT channel with videos with millions of views it will make more sense to adsense it or cpa it rather than this, risking records company banning u and not pay out ?

i have videos with millions of views .. youtube freezes the same and i changed at least 5 different distributions all the same problem

Hello Sir! I'm thinking to try this.
Question : What MCN networks do you use right now? And what are their requirements to get accepted? Thank you!
