[Journey] Creating a high quality tech blog using translated content - Goals unknown

I personally am pushing products at the moment. As in Amazon or something similar. I have no idea what something like Adsense would do on my site. I will experiment with it in the future when I have more traffic. I don't think it's worth it now.
I can't tell you what's better though. Depends on your niche, traffic, design and so on.

Go search other affiliate networks besides Amazon, like Shareasale, CJ

I have a niche on my mind, now I've been searching about; what is the best site structure to do for the site!! reading about (Pillar pages, Cluster content) pain in the azz

When you publish articles, Are you going for normal post/categories?

Or pages?

Just normal posts and categories. I have static pages for contact, about us etc.

I have a website which is translated to 10+ languages, using DeepL API here are the results. Site created in June 2021.

With this website, I take articles from English websites, and DeepL API translates them to 10+ languages automatically. Fact: I don't add daily content on this website.

It is always good to translate your content in various languages. Bonus: if the content is translated correctly in the foreign language - you're doing it properly.
Very nice!
How are you going to monetize this site? Ads? The main problem I see is how to monetize these kinds of sites as with affiliate offers, either they don't provide a translated version or they don't support certain countries etc.

Monetization: offering services.

Is it possible to build traffic without backlinking?
Sure. As long as your content is good enough. Preferably unique. If you are the only one offering certain information then Google will list you in the top 10 for sure. If 10 others offer the same content AND have backlinks then you probably have little chance.
I was getting traffic on this site before getting some real backlinks. But you will always get some backlinks. Automated sites that run bots will list you.

I did another sale as well
Congrats! How much do you get per sale? I know it varies, but average of your last 3 sales, ballpark.

I'll follow your journey. Seems like a decent way to generate content, or at least buff existing content.

Nice journey, in the past I had blogspot sites on competitive niches such as medicine etc .... Despite no backlinks they were positioned for many kw. I believe your site will explore

Thanks a lot. The sales so far are beer money. But I got them quicker than expected so it's very motivating. I already sold 100's of dollars in products but I'm only getting a small %.
As I wrote above, people can buy crazy expensive stuff so sooner or later I will get bigger numbers.

Nice! Do you use the free DeepL API version or the pro version?

The free version is working well for me with WP Automatic, but I'm stuck as it translates only 5000 characters a month...
DeepL blocks me when I try to create another free API account.

I'm not going to post this every time I do a new sale but just wanted to share I did my fourth sale. I'm actually surprised how many I did already. Way faster than expected!

I will never use the images from the original article. I will use as much as possible from free stock sites like Pexel. This is something I need to figure out still. I never really used these sites.
Every picture will be mirrored and/or changed in some way. I will use Canva to add texts and what not on the images. I hope in the end Google will consider them original.

Why not use Canva images and just the typography?
I have sites like this and always use the Canva image database with no issues.
Best of luck op

Following this as i'm doing the same thing, good luck OP

Thanks man. Yeah I can also do that maybe. It's no big issue. I just get images here and there.

Thanks!

Well, again nothing important to mention really. It's just a slow process of adding articles and letting Google do its thing.
I did a few more sales and added some articles. That's it really.
The translations work really well and I'm getting picked up a lot by the foreign serps. So again, if you know your target and it makes sense advertising wise I would highly recommend using Translatepress with the DeepL API. It does wonders.

Funny enough right after the last post the traffic took a dive down but it's going up again, slowly, but it seems to keep going. As I said before, I see no reason for it to stop, as long as I keep adding posts!

The video traffic is quickly growing. Image traffic grows less. A few hits a day at the moment.

These video traffic is just for Youtube vids I add in my posts as extra content. Relevant to the topic of course. It's also to keep the user (hopefully) longer occupied and raise the time on site stats.

I won't be updating this for a while as I expect nothing special will happen. Once I feel it's worth posting again I will!

Thanks for following.
