Probably cause there are multiple other chains that consume fewer fees. $ADA for example $ONE, $AVAX, $MATIC and so. Many of them will many a total cap from ETH maybe.

You seem to assume a bear market is the same as other bear markets. But there are other variables such as politics, global logistics, etc.
For example logistics on the Vetchain will be made it explode cause it helps to decentralize and reduce corruption.
Just be open for this upcoming brave new world.

I'm very optimistic in the long run. Crypto is going to change everything. My bearish prediction was for 12 months, not 12 years
I think ETH will do $4k this month.
ETH is still regarded as a safer option to those who are dipping their toes, is one reason IMO.
For those who are worried it will drop, TAKE YOUR FUCKING PROFITS if you are genuinely worried. Don't come back in 6 months saying it's dropped 50% and you should have sold at $4k or $3.8k etc.
