Why should i buy expired domain?

Hello guys...i have some plans ..but not sure how to do it. Can you please help?

1. I will buy some high DA PA niche based expired domain (i know about other factors like checking BL and etc) then i will create a new blog under that domain to rank it faster. And i will advertise my own business on it Does3it works?

2. I will buy some high Backlinks niche based expired domain with high DA PA to redirect to my current website. Does it works?

I want to know, my plan is on right track? Or i am missing something?

Note: i have geo targeted web hosting business.

I suggested you to go for relevant aged domain (not expired) dont worry about DA etc. and use option 2. It will work for sure

If you recreate a new site over the domain, new pages and all that. I find the link juice to disappear.

The new blog wont rank faster if the domain has been fully expired. It needs to index, and if you building a new site on it, i think google sees it as new also. However, if the domain has keywords in google as in still indexed, then yes, the quick rankings are likely, because its not expired, yet.

Build the domain as it was when it was ranking. Rebuild pages that had the juicy links and see what google thinks about them. If they go up in ranking or get back to a decent position, your in luck.

As for 301, It didnt work for me but you can try it. I find rebuilding pages that had links carries more power than hoping google will give the new "blog" the same ranking as the old site that was on the domain...

I am super confused about all this...never tried that before actually... But after few days of research i found there are lots of good rank able keyword based expired domain... I think it is possible to rank fast if i do some competitors research as well for new blog creation.

About 301, i found huge success case study article.... But still i am confused and looking for more expert opinion

If you have access to many expired domains, experiment.

Thats how we all learned.

Test doing a full 301 from registrar to your site. Inner pages only. Not to home page. See what the results are. Obviously seeing resulys takes time in SEO, so you need to be patient.

Then 3 months, next test... Use another expires domain, rebuild pages with links using help from internet archive. Then build links from those pages to your money site. Each test will need time to give you results.

If you gt more than one money sites you can launch both tests at once on two expired domains. Then you see what method works better for you.

For me i like having control of all pages that have links so i can point them to other inner pages instead of whole domain to one inner page.
