Minimalist Newsletter Plugin for WP (or alternatives)

I tried out MailPoet, and it's good, but too much for what I need. I also installed PHPLIST in a subdomain and that was pretty perfect for my needs - - a plaintext/basicHTML newsletter plugin/install - - I don't need fancy graphics or a plethora of form options. Just something that takes an email input, and adds to a list.
Unfortunately, PHPLIST doesn't integrate with wp all that well, there are some plugins but they're all extremely outdated.

Would love to hear all your recommendations on the most minimalist WP plugin for sending an HTML newsletter.

I am using this one and I am pretty happy with it: https://www.thenewsletterplugin.com/
Or choose Sendy in combination with a WordPress bridge. I both love 'm.

For the addons, a premium version is required and Sendy isn't free at all.
However, @zilog357 posted a pre-activated version of Sendy.

I've used WP SMTP in the past. Since I shifted to ClassicPress, I use their SMTP plugin.
