Who would you choose?

Let say you are a freelance professional or own a small company, but you're not tech-savvy.
You don't have a website, you don't know how to build one and you're not aware of marketplaces such as BHW.
Both a freelance web designer and a full web agency contact you asking if you need a website.
Assuming the prices and the portfolios are similar, who would you choose and why?

I would choose an agency if the price is the same, more resources in an agency.

I am/was in a similar position and chose the agency. Today I would choose the freelancer and get the incentives right.

Sometimes the problem with agencies is that the people doing the job are not incentivized to do the job well. The are paid per hour and don't care about success. Of course there are differences.

Freelancer will often want the work or money more so work hard for it agency will often outsource the work to someone else so you will quite often not get something done by the agency instead someone from say Fiverr or somewhere else but you pay more for the same service often.
