An update on the shadow bans:
I had a large number of releases that were all showing $0 in royalties and 0 plays for April and May across several distributors. I noticed this for the first time in early June and removed those releases from my catalog immediately. My hypothesis was that if you kept the earnings per release under a certain amount, $75-100, the shadow banned releases would generate royalties again. As in, there is a certain threshold for review at Spotify. I got the June sales reports for Spotify in on my releases on Traxx. The ones that were shadow banned in April and May are still showing $0 and 0 plays for June. My hypothesis was wrong. The shadow bans appear permanent. And that threshold dollar mount seems to be dropping each month. I had some releases that were around $50-60 in May that are now $0. I don't know if it's because they suddenly got more plays for July or if that threshold is really dropping.
All you can do in this game is pump out music to completely replace your catalog every 2 or 3 months. Or use fewer bots and be happy with a smaller payout.

What is the purpose of rotating the proxies? Woudn't keeping the same IP for each account look more real?

Wow, what a thread! I'm really enjoying the back and forths and information being shared.
I'm a 28 year old professional musician / singer-songwriter / multi instrumentalist / producer with about 6 years on Spotify with 5 million+ plays from organic growth only.. I was also one of the first musicians on Twitch to ever get partnered and been lucky in general! I write lyric based and "simple" guitar/piano/ukulele based music. In the beginning I had about $6 /1k streams but it's now after years fizzled out to about $3 /1k as previous anecdotal evidence here. I have spent very little money on promoting, 99% through social media posts and Instagram videos basically, I think you could call me as legit as they come.
I've made about $20k over six years, which obviously is either a lot, or very little depending on how you see it. I have like 18 tracks and only one of them actually has over a million plays; something I am pretty happy about actually as it means that I'm not a hit writer but rather a consistent songwriter.. I suppose. I also own 100% rights of course and have written, sang, and produced 90% of it, and the stuff with other people contributing I have always made sure to pay them accordingly in cash as to retain ownership and royalties..
( Also, it's not my full time job, as then I would be living in my mom's basement. I work in online business with.. tech stuff.)
Anyhow,
I'm also a tech nerd and realized early what a shitty deal it is for legitimate musicians on Spotify or any online platform, let's face it. On YouTube you need crazy consistency, soul crushing sell-out uploads, on Twitch you need the same but also boobs, and the same goes for other platforms. I always felt like Spotify was the place for me, as it let the music speak for itself with no options to sell out. However, as payments decline, algorithms stop caring about you and competition grows, I started looking into SMM panel marketing, but with a dev background I figured I would research how to do it myself, and man, it's kind of sad to see the lengths people go to exploit the exploiters; and I do respect it, but as someone with not enough knowledge to run something themselves, and SMM panels being risky, it's a bit crushing as well to realize that living off of being an actual musician is not really viable, and probably hasn't been for years.. I suppose selling tracks to botters is more lucrative than writing good music from the heart..
I've started using an SMM-panel on a trial level (some few hundreds dollars worth campaign over a month) but reading about it here I'm questioning if it's even worth for someone like myself who relies on the organic growth of the songs.. Happy for input here! I was thinking it might be lucrative to increase the numbers artificially to boost the already awake Spotify algorithms, I've yet to see enough stats to make a report, but I do have a lot of historical data on pays per listener, discover weekly boosts etc.. so I will be able to provide some insight at least, as it doesn't seem like there are a lot of average "actual" musicians following these threads, more like "up and coming" producers who spent a few months on YouTube tapping piano rolls in Ableton or FL.. I have to admit I'm pretty elitist about instrument based music as opposed to electronic production, sorry but I will never change my opinion on that, with a strong bias.. hehe.
I'm sort of lost in what the next step is for gaining traction online, as I'm tired of slowly decreasing numbers over years time, even as I release new (And way better quality stuff than before) but no longer favored by the once generous algorithms, and seeing what the platform hosts (an abundance of illegitimacy) just motivates me to join the game, as I guess I would have a slight edge as an actual musician?
Maybe I should just start selling custom 2 minute songs instead, to Spotify black hatters.. :|

That's why I'm "botting" a massive catalog of music including my friends - industry can kiss my ass.
The only issue is payouts seem to be a bit of a hassle lol...
