Wait 36 days before linking out from a new PBN?

Hi. I read an interesting case study that says if you just acquired and setup a PBN, you should wait 36 days until you link out from this newly setup PBN:

You must wait at least 36 days between the time you index an expired domain and link out from it.

So in this case study, it was for PBNs setup from expired domains. But this had me thinking, even for auctioned domains that have not expired yet, I think Google can just as easily check when the auctioned domain was setup (ie. change of registars, change of nameservers, change of owners, new website structure, or other footprints Google uses to determine that a website has changed ownership), and if there is a backlink put on this recently changed auctioned domain within the first 36 days, Google can throttle the link juice from the backlink (or worse, not give any link juice at all from the backlink instead of just throttling the link juice).

The case study above was from 2017. I am even thinking that perhaps, Google has extended the number of days to more than 36 days, in 2021. What is your experience with linking out to soon from a new PBN you have setup? How long do you wait until you link out from a new PBN you have setup?

I usually wait anywhere from 60-90 days before linking out

If you read the article, 36 days is from the case study and testing. The author of the article did the hard work and setup a testing scenario. If your testing comes up with a different number of days, then feel free to post your testing and case study so we can analyze it. Mind you, this is back in 2017 and Google may have changed the time to something longer than 36 days since then.

Yes once you create a PBN, google already knows and assigns an intern. Each day this intern will check the PBN and penalize any links. The assignment for the intern is 36 days exactly. This is the real reason. /s

And what is the source for this information brother? I'm sure they don't have enough ppl working as interns to watch out for all the pbns been made daily.

Letting the PBN age for a couple of weeks is a good idea on its own,
It does help to recover some of the domain authority & trust, making it looks more natural,
But giving out an exact number is totally nonsense, it's not an open-source algorithm to follow exact much periods

For that particular case study, it was 36 days, and the case study was from 2017. I don't think it's an exact number of days either. However, I would guess that perhaps Google will reduce the link juice coming out from an auctioned domain that Google perceives to have changed ownership, if the link is posted relatively too soon (ie. if the link is posted on the same day the domain changes ownership - that is way too soon and is a huge footprint).

I know 36 days is an arbitrary number, but perhaps back in 2017, it would have been prudent to wait one month before linking out from a newly setup PBN. It's 2021 and I am wondering if people are discovering that linking out one month after a newly setup PBN is setup is too short of a time period and that you should wait longer - perhaps people should wait 3 months these days because Google has increased the "sandbox" period for links coming out of a newly setup PBN?

If google has something that says 301 expired domain links are permanent after about a year, maybe there is something similar here?
