Personally caffeine is ineffective for me never did even when I was younger. I think its cuz I had undiagnosed ADHD until early this summer. I was prescribed adderall and it helped a lot before that I used to use nootropics (too many to list but practically every racetam and more). My new personal favorite stack is simply adderall & phenylpiracetam. I do feel an increase in anxiety and restlessness so sometimes ill counteract this with a bowl of weed. Not enough to get me high but enough to mellow me out. I've gotten more done in the past month than I have in a year. 3 new projects all coming along nicely just being held back by housekeeping/waiting on people and my grades have gone back up. I went from getting all As to failing classes due to online school and this stack fixed it I managed to get a 97% on my calculus final despite getting a ~60% on the midterm. Highly recommend it if your willing to counteract the negative affects through a healthy lifestyle. Magnesium at night also helps you reduce the tolerance buildup of adderall and also helps you sleep.
Another stack that's mostly just recreational is weed and coluractam. The visual sharpness and energy boost from coluractam synergies so well with weed. Working out on this stack or going on a run is god tier. Went on a hike with this combo and it was amazing. Its not the generic euphoria based happiness you get with other drugs I don't know exactly how to describe it but it's like how life was when you were a kid if that makes any sense.
