1. Yeah, the software that wasn't battle-tested and run through QA by the developer himself, will probably require couple of patches.

If one has big pockets, they go for local agencies.

Dribble and Behance are tricky places, once you find a designer you like - you will be facing problems to find a contact, huge hourly rates, or risk to get ghosted, these are portfolio platforms, not meant to be for hiring. On upwork on other hand - one negative feedback can kill freelancers profile and throw him back for multiple months. I would NEVER hire freelancers off those platforms, that's a big no no.

It looks like you are trying to find talented developers and designers for him that will be cheap. I don't think that you understand what "talented" means. Also, I have no idea what HR agencies you have met before but a good HR agency can find great developers.

Affordable, not cheap. I perfectly understand what talented means as I've hired a lot and still do it. As I said, there are good HR agencies, and they will cost you good as well. For freelance work to use an HR agency is absolute nonsense. Even if you want to hire inhouse, they will charge retainer till they find the dev + 1 salary minimum, you can use that budget to make a killer facebook ad for your local market

I received several messages on Dribbble about projects on the specified budget when I was doing freelance jobs. I don't use Behance.
(Behance is where the designer is looking for a job, dribbble is where the company looks for the designer, I think?)

The thing with Dribbble is that your projects have to be in the client's niche or really good to stand out. There are many great designers and agencies there, but that is what makes the platform great, right? (As long as we will ignore beginners invited by their friends...)

Upwork is a great place to find good devs. I also use git to finnd the.

Filtering devs with from where they belong is not going to do any good. Those regions mentioned to avoid do have some really good devs also and their charges are lower compared to most other places.

One very important thing is to check if the dev you're hiring is legit. Just spend some extra bucks to test with a small task. You will get an idea if your dev is the one you should hire or not. Testing or interviewing your dev is a key part which most people hiring don't do.

No,

Dribble is for showcasing small work, like small animations, logos, elements, landing pages, etc.

Behance is for case studies, where you put to showcase all your best works

of course you can go vice-versa, but if you are balls deep in design, then the scenario above will probably be what you will choose.

They added options to search work there, as obviously there were a lot of clients and professionals, so it would just make sense to add this option there, but as I said earlier, you never ever want to hire someone outside of freelance platforms. it's for your own safety. think of those platforms as escrow service for creative work.

if hiring off platform, make sure to use Paypal and be sure your paperwork is in place and ready to be used in case you need to open a case.

I cant stress enough how important it is, I've lost thousands of dollars by hiring the wrong people, even those who are great for first projects can fuck something up.

I have received about 50 messages on LinkedIn from recruiters. No offer seemed to really match me.
The question was whether you found a job that was really nice or not.

Any advice on where to find best content writers? This is my second biggest problem.. I have 1 writer she is amazing but limited on quantity as she's in college and only doing side work. I have seem to have to hire 10+ writers to find someone good, then they usually disappear after a few jobs lol

For content writing you can try UPWORK .
From my personal experience hire Student writer. They can provide quality at really good price. Only problem you have to face limited quantity. But believe me they write from heart.

Problem with writer agencies they only focus on completion.

Many places such as through type into say Google or other search engines works then find the website for example
"Car,Dog,computer,Law Practice America" then look at all the websites then pick the right ones with the person or persons who look good or smart website designing.

Linkedin some of them show there work as well on accounts or profiles.

You can find websites that allow people to submit websites for quality or design features as well through a Search Engine look as well so get a few from that probably.

If you want to hire a Slavic person from say Russia or Ukraine most unless they are younger will not be able to speak English that good meaning you will need to be able to speak or understand Russian or Ukranian if not could get messy for you but you could easily pay someone to email in Russian or Ukranian for if the need comes to Russia or Ukraine is basically full of some serious smart or cool website designers as well.

For example for a Ukranian website before instead of the boring captcha like we have the used like mini-games for such as used before painting game which I had to colour in something like the Ukraine flag to prove I am a human.
