Do you know why I trust the vaccines? Because scientists say so. Now, why do I trust scientists? There is this beautiful thing in science called "peer review". This means that anyone with proper knowledge can backcheck and reproduce the results. So to make a peer reviewed and public papers fake, you need to control a large majority, if not all of the scientists and doctors in the world. This adds up to 10s of thousands of people. Doctors, researchers, vaccine testers. These are all people. People with hearts, people with families, people with basic sense of morality.

Your theory is that all of them know of this horrible secret that vaccines make people sick and are threating the very existence of human race. And NO ONE is speaking up? This is the fundamental thing that separates conspiracy theorists like yourself from normal people - you fail to understand the fundamental human nature. Believe it or not, when you put people in a spot like this, a lot of them will do the right thing.

However, no one has really done that. The hacks that have come out with "real info" have proven to have a financial agenda (like that Pfizer guy) and that their data just does not hold up. if there even is any data. That's another beautiful thing about science that conspirace theorists fail to understand quite simple: 1+1=2. Certainly things we are talking about are way more complex and multi-faceted. But math plays a very big part in their development. But even genome sequencing calculation for vaccine development and genome quality assessment, which is super important to make sure the new batches of mRNA vaccines are high quality.

Reading that post i sense, the expectation how vaccines work is wrong in some heads still, which is a frequent issue. Vaccines don't offer 100% protection, that much is true, better ones have 90%+ efficacy though. So yes, vaccinated people can get infected too, but with a lot less probability and if they do, they won't develop serious symptoms.
A smaller portion of people no matter what, simply don't develop antibodies neither after recovering after the infection, nor after getting vaccinated. These people can get infected and infected again, but this is a small minority and it's a numbers game. The goal is to keep the reproduction rate of the virus below 1, meaning 1 infected infects less than 1 person. By vaccinating people with 90% efficacy vaccines, this is a very realistic goal, if enough people takes the vaccine.

People who got their shots and developed the needed protection are much less likely to get the virus and it's extremely rare for them to develop serious symptoms, which require hospitalization. That's what the efficacy of the vaccines mean. Without the vaccine 100 people out of 100 have the chance to get infected and develop symptoms, which may lead to hospitalization. If that 100 people get a vaccine with 90% efficacy, it means, that out of 100 only 10 will have the potential to get infected and if they do, they will have mild symptoms. This is the correct interpretation how vaccines work and this is how they actually work.

You can debate, that vaccines are not safe and might have long-term effects we don't know yet, but not their efficacy against the imminent issue at hand.

I already see them working in real life, where i live. Numbers are down, most restrictions are gone (for the vaccinated or recovered).

The virus is here to stay, restrictions will end only if enough people is vaccinated to be able to keep the virus at bay. It's that simple. There's no other solution at the moment.

I haven't done much research about the efficiency. The only thing that deters from taking it are the side effects that have been happening. Not to mention the long term ones that are yet unknown.
Am actually pro-vax, have taken rabies (5 shots) and tetanus in the past two years. But I don't wanna take the covid one.

Side effects are happening with any and every vaccine, even with those, which are in use since decades. These side effects are not more common with covid19 vaccines. Obviously when hundreds of millions of people get vaccinated in a matter of months, you'll hear about a couple of occurences of more serious side effects, but it's still not a big number compared to the amount of people vaccinated or compared to the amount of people, who would have died without the vaccine. I don't think, the short-term side effects should be a concern or if they're a concern, next time when you take any other vaccine, just remember that none of those are completely risk-free either in that regard.

I just looked these up quick: 1 out of 10,000 people gets anaphylactic shock after taking the rabies vaccine, this is besides the more common side effects like headache, nausea, vomiting. The tetanus vaccine can cause these latter milder symptoms too plus high fever and more serious symptoms such as seizures, fainting or non-stop crying, wtf?!

At the moment there are 4 different technologies they use to develop the covid19 vaccines. Where i live 3 of those vaccine types are available, the 4th type is very new, so that's not an option just yet. If you don't want to take the new mRNA vaccines, you can go with the vector ones, where there's some experience already or you can go with the vaccines, which use the old method of inactivated virus cells just like the common flu vaccines. There's a selection and there are vaccines among those, which were developed using the same technology, what is used since decades to produce other vaccines.

The concern about the long-term effects is valid, but we don't have the luxury to just sit around and wait for a decade or two until the results are in. Doing nothing can't be a solution, the virus isn't going anywhere on its own. Waves will come after each other, people will die or have long-lasting health issues, the economy will get shut down periodically for months over and over again. When the waves happen, the healthcare system gets overwhelmed, due to that non-covid patients don't receive proper care, so some of those will eventually die too. This is not a way to live.

Even though i recovered from the infection, i still took the vaccine, because it boosts the existing antibody levels by multiple times, so you develop a stronger protection. This is what docs recommend too, even if you recovered, it's advised to take the vaccine. In that case one shot can be enough, because it acts like a booster, which is normally the second jab, if you weren't infected before.

It's not a too complicated choice after all. You just need to decide whether the pros of vaccination outweigh the cons or not. I tend to trust science and the millions who took an oath to protect our lives, for me personally the pros outweigh the cons. For you i guess the cons outweigh the pros.

But yea for me am more afraid of the Vax than covid. Am young and healthy. Don't wanna risk it. you see quite a few cases of heart problems happening with the young ones.

they won't protect you nor care about you . they only care about their salary and reputation and promotion... today age mantra is simple " Money Money Money " so i think it's naive to think otherwise ? proof ? look at what the FDA and CDC did they even censorship the inventor of the the technology .. the millions who took an oath to protect us Had a busy time cooking up this virus.

We are clearly on a different page.

The thing is that at this point it doesn't matter, who cooked up what, whether the virus was let out intentionally or accidentally or if it was transferred from animals. This is not important regarding the issue at hand. The important thing is that the virus is out and there's a solution developed by scientists, what we can take.

With saying things what you just said, apart from that it cannot be further from the truth, you're questioning the integrity of millions of doctors, who you will rely upon one day, when your life needs saving. Maybe tomorrow after a car accident.

How some people can be this far away detached from reality is beyond me.

again , I'm not questioning the integrity of all doctors or scientists that would be beyond stupid . we have brave people out there who let out the truth way earlier than the media or even FDA or CDC or any "doctor" who belong to any kind of organizations .. what I'm saying is that believing everything that is coming from these organizations just because the narrative that been said is coming out of a specialist "doctor or scientist" doesn't necessarily make it right . it's just stupid to put absolute trust on individuals who have their careers depend on such organizations.

Fact is People Died because of the vaccine and the public is less informed because these doctors and scientists have careers on the line .and they don't want to risk it. so it defy all kind of reason for someone to keep telling me "I Trust Science"

I believe his claims (at least ones about pregrancy) was debunked pretty hard, because he had no hard data. If you have other sources, I am open for something like that.

Let me also clarify something here for anyone who is reading this thread and my answers in particular - I am fully aware that we do not know the dangers of the vaccine in long term. Perhaps I should have been more open about that. Current data shows that it's less dangerous than COVID, tho.

But I utterly refuse to believe that there is some sort of conspiracy. And I think this is deductable with logic with one simple question. Who benefits of this and how?

Let's consider 2 possible scenarios:

1. Pharma companies want to make money.
Yeah, this one is easy to believe because we all know that pharma companies are pretty evil. But COVID vaccine represents a fraction of the revenue for big pharma companies. Current predictions of COVID mutation rate is that it will be much slower than flu for example, not requiring seasonal vaccines. Even considering that a lot more people will need it, it still represents a pretty small amount of money considering how much funds is needed to pay everyone to be quiet.

2. Elite wants us to get sick to make more money and gain power
All they want is money and power. So this makes no sense for that. The "common" people are the source of power to the elite. How are they gonna make money if we are all ill? We own the power, but they own us. It's us who build their cities, it's us who make their roads and fight their wars. It's us who spend our money on their products, fattening their bank accounts. If we are too sick to work or wage war, how are they going to make money?

I think one of the most credible proofs that vaccine has no secret, undisclosed side effects is that countries are giving shots to their militaries. If they knew that this was toxic, they would basically willfully destroy or at least severaly hinder their capability to defend themselves (and make money with war).

This is a thought process I go through when I read something that seems like a conspiracy theory.

I am open to scientific research about possible dangers. But I don't see any endgame here for anyone. Everyone loses. I have fairly low faith in people at times, but I can sure as hell say that if things like infertility are ever revealed to be true (and that it was known), it will be a basis to a revolution. Infertility means extinction of human race. What would you do if you found this out? What would people do if they found out that someone doomed human race to extinction? Survival and reproduction are built-in into our brains as ultimate goals of life. People will go insane and burn the world to the ground. If some elitists who can control media, goverments and scientific community so well would want to end the world, they would use nukes.

Same really applies to other conspiracies thrown out in this chat. There is no point, no logic. Keeping Africa poor is a conspiracy that makes sense. Purposeful orchestration of opioid crisis in US makes sense. Waging war on terror and drugs makes a lot of financial sense. But this just doesn't.

Something that I also really want to point out, is that people who question the vaccine is one thing, but spreading conspiracy theories is another. Often this information, such as any possible health claims is immediately buried under the sheer volume of crazy bullshit, like that covid is fake overall or 5g is doing something and all this stuff that is spreading like wildfire at the moment.
