The best way to monetize a new website is to start off with your own products.

I know this is kind of a hassle for a lot of people, but if you want to build a brand quickly and establish a high perception of value, this is the way to go.

Also, you end up building an asset that can continue to make you money for a long time to come.

How?

Sell your own products through your own mailing list.

Basically, you set up a free booklet or a collection of blog posts—and to get a copy, people have to sign up for your lists.

Once they’re on your list, you send them updates that share valuable information, but also get them excited about a hot new “premium product” that you launched.

This premium product can cost $50 or $100—it doesn’t matter.

100% of that money is going to you!

Compare that with a typical affiliate program that pays you a percentage.

This is the way to play the game if you want to make a profit early on.

Even if you have very little traffic, you can still make money through this model.

Meantime, I've worked in the Internet Svcs./Communications industry for longer than I care to admit, but I *lack* some of the experience required for online store creation (multichannel) and branding. Anyway...

You mentioned "a booklet or a collection of blog posts"... I'd appreciate a more technical description of how you might set a new blog up, including video/image creation while using some of the content.

Definitely harvest an email for more opportunities to promote and you could put links in your Freebie. On Thank You Page you can add a $1 Trial offer or Free Webinar to a high ticket offer. Tailor everything to the niche..what are their pain points and Turn ons. Investors like a credit of Free Stocks for signing up type of thing.

There are kids...OK young adults making a killing with eCom with a ton of upfront value content and proofs on YouTube.
