Can I ask where you have heard this from?careful what you wish for, I heard with ebay managed payments they are much more strict than paypal, and suspend, then permanently hold your funds.
This actually makes a lot of sense.careful what you wish for, I heard with ebay managed payments they are much more strict than paypal, and suspend, then permanently hold your funds.
Might be a start honestly. Now smaller marketplaces should follow the trend and realize that they'll have better margins if they cut PP out. Grailed, etsy, gumroad, stockx etc. these are all huge companies who rely heavily on PP.End of road for PP??
you will get the same amount of $/€ in return, but in BTC, just my opinionI wonder how refunds will be done when paying with BTC. Is ebay going to foot the bill if seller doesn't refund?
Just started using Paypal or what? It has always been like this with Paypal in India. You don't have a paypal balance in India as paypal auto withdraws the money to your bank account. This is because a company needs a banking license in India to hold someone's funds and they were not willing to get involved in the bureaucracy to get a banking license and other miles long paper trail that comes with it, so they chose the easy way out.PayPal is dead in India. We can't use our PayPal balance to purchase and they want us to use our card so they can also earn with forex conversion.
I wish we can also have an account in USD so all these charges can be saved.
eBay is already dead here.
I just wish there was a big competitor to Paypal. It's honestly dog shit
Adyen process the payments for eBay not actually eBay itself. This actually makes a lot of sense.
PayPal acted as a safety net for eBay. Whenever PayPal isn't able to recoup the funds from a seller in case of a refund, it's their loss, not eBay's (at least since they are separate companies). Now with cutting PayPal out on the seller side, eBay is on their own, whatever funds eBay isn't able to recover, it will be their loss, because they will owe that money to PayPal to compensate the wronged buyers. They need to be strict, unless sellers will be required to add a card to the account, so eBay can charge it, if shit happens. After a seller received the funds to his/her bank account, eBay can't get it back or at least it's a lot harder to do than charging a card.
@IG Professor how does this effect your ebay method? Any updates in the works?
i can tell uve never used paypal before, because... saying "Ebay will side with the buyer no matter what. They outright rob sellers all the time." ... IS LITERALLY WHAT PAYPAL HAS BEEN DOING FOR DECADESDodgy dealings? You must be on a different site. Ebay will side with the buyer no matter what. They outright rob sellers all the time.
I'm glad you're in favor of more of that. Just like when Amazon lowered commission rates.

i still have a valid paypal account... meaning that i didnt sell much on ebay and too scared these days for fear of refund requests lolI have never had a problem with PayPals. The problem is people don’t know how to manage stealths. They setup a vcc and some info and then start transferring money through it. PayPal is a shit company, but eBay Payments will be worse if you’re a serious seller.
It’s a good move for buyers, but sucks for sellers. I assume you’ve also never been a big seller on eBay.
If that's the case, ebay will simply stack sats as btc keeps growing.you will get the same amount of $/€ in return, but in BTC, just my opinion
This is bad news for most eBay sellers. The rates stay the same, but they cut PayPal out. No more multi accounts. If you’re banned from eBay, they have your SSN. Payments don’t arrive in your PayPal instantly.
Hmmmm...
This is a prime example of Social Engineering and why YOU/WE must establish our own platforms.
These MAJOR companies want absolute control, and I adamantly refuse to play by their rules.
Yep..remember their goal is to cut you out. Amazon finds best selling products, makes the same, and makes it Amazon branded, lowers commission rates when they got big enough. Google wants to cut out PPC marketers and SEO.
There’s only a few groups of people who own most of the big corporations globally.
