Is it just me or are the "native" article writers so crap in here? I am yet to find a writer that can actually write a simple English article without a crap load of grammar mistakes and sentences that don't make any sense.

I feel like putting all the articles on display to actually show how poorly they are written.

Do it. I am with you on this. I don't bother buying any articles anymore. I've even gone so far as to DM 2 sellers to point out that their actual sales thread is garbage... I honestly do not understand how some people are OK misrepresenting themselves as experts when they CLEARLY aren't.

Agree, I will put together all the articles I have purchased on BHW for everyone to read. Instead of saving myself time, it's taking more time having to re-write all this garbage.

I have tried a range of prices. But it doesn't change the fact that 99% are full of grammar mistakes, sentences taken from other articles and re-written poorly with words that don't even make sense. Let alone nothing provides any actually information that is worth while to read.

Look, English native speakers can be anybody in the US/UK ...(of course many other countries with English as the official language)

Now look at the PISA study etc. and see how for example the US is scoring...

I'd not get hung up on the buzzword native written content, as
a) Even if it is the case you can get a high school dropout that hated grammar
b) You can get tons of non-native speakers that are doing a much better job, in the end, English is the easiest language in the world.

In the end, yes tons of crappy writers on BHW (and elsewhere). Look for
- Fluff filler content
- Throw a sentence that makes no sense into a translator, chances are it was translated from another language (If you speak a few languages you will spot this easily when recognizing the other language's grammar in your "English" article.

Gotta keep trying and dspending $ until you find one, or a few that you like.

This is true. My rule of thumb is that unless I'm paying $75-100 for an article, it's not going to be well-researched or well-written.
Yeah totally agree, but it shouldn't need to be that expensive. I have worked as a copywriter for a large European ecommerce store, it doesn't take that long to write a decent well researched 1000 word article.

If you are willing to pay good amount to the writer for its time and efforts that is value for money you will get great content in return if you chosen to pay low and expecting too much you are thinking wrong. This is mostly happening here.

My articles always go through proofreading and spell-check. Nowadays with browser extensions, there is no excuse for errors. Too bad I don't sell them though.

well, there is a reason you and others moved on from that, they weren't paying you enough to keep you on it. at the end, money attracts talented and hardworking people, so if an industry doesn't pay well, they move to a different one. you usually can't have quality and cheap for boring, on high demand tasks like writing.

that said, if you feel the quality of your article isn't up to the standards promoted on the BST, talk it with the writer, or with a mod if necessary. if the product you get is very different to the one you were advertised on the BST, you have a right to reclaim and bargain.

OP as long as you talk and prevent us from looking at what you called trash, we can think you are just trolling.

I've honestly had better luck with using AI writing services.

First of all be patient, secondly I am not the only one that has complained about the quality of writing on BHW, so why would I troll.

You have to distinguish though:
  • Enterprise-level content and then there is BHW

I mean just paying by word vs article is the difference.

To get to X words most on here will add a bunch of fluff, non-saying content. Now you could say $1.5-2 per 100 words is too low to expect anything, but if I can get GPT3 or translated content that reads better, then that is way too much.

I mean come on I just saw another thread pop up and just by the BST I can tell the quality will suck and just reads unnaturally. We know how much effort goes into the BST that your article will 100% not get more effort put into it.
- Content is the king --> Content is king
- Regardless of number of backlinks you get

etc.

Even Grammarly already lets you know those need articles, but the writer seems to have beef with "a" and your article will likely read super unnatural.

You do not always get what you pay for.

Here is a few samples from articles that have been delivered. You get the picture.

"A professional cyclist is going to be hired to ride a bike in one position in a controlled laboratory. The speeds of the three wheels are then going to be measured so as to come up with what has the best aero drag."

"When doing a race of truth to measure your individual cycling speed without the advantage of getting help from teammates or some riders creating a slipstream when ahead, you could use the rear disc wheels. For flat surfaces, you will find that with little effort you hit higher speeds. Woe unto you if the terrain is hilly or there is a cross wind, the time trial rear disc wheel is going to be slower."

I didn't know a road bike had three wheels? That's new to me coming from a professional cycling background.

- Lets talk about gear ratio's instead

"Every mountain bike will have gears, but the hears will not change themselves. Once you are sure you have the right gears on your bike, it is easy to make the most out of your ratios so as to get the best form cycling, especially when climbing. "

definitely, and that's why he should talk it out with the service provider, and with a mod if that doesn't work.
but I would add, you almost never get what you didn't pay for, and you shouldn't count on getting it either. but I do agree articles by word count and articles for, say, magazines that employ regular writers are probably 2 different ballparks.
full disclaimer: as you can probably guess, I suck in English grammar, so my opinion as someone who can't personally confirm the quality of a article may be biased towards more expensive services.

I'd ask for a refund and I would also send that content to a Marketplace Mod with a link to their sales thread to see if that level of content quality was presented to the Mod for a review to get approved.

None of my road bikes ever had 3 wheels either.
