Hi folks,
So I have been trying to find best keyword research tool and till now, I have tried semrush, semscoop, KWFinder and Ahrefs.
The combo of KWfinder and Semscoop was by far the most accurate. Ahrefs provided me with best customizable search options with a lot of positive results but when I looked up these results in semscoop and kwfinder they were simply not matching. Semrush provides accurate results as well but I am not sure about traffic results and difficulty level in case of many keywords.
What tools do you guys use for your keyword research and what's your experience with these tools?

Semrush is the best for paid keywords and Ahrefs is the best for SEO, at least this is how i grasp it for the last couple of years.
I think so as well. Let's see what other guys say.

I never trust difficulty scores of any tool to be honest. Usually quite misleading.

I use Ahrefs for search volume because it's quite "brutal" in a sense that it shows lower numbers than reality sometimes. It also shows searches vs actual clicks which is very useful.

This little trick worked for me in the past for search volume as well.

ahrefs, but theres more to keyword research than just typing it into ahrefs imo.

Ofc there is. You gotta check into a lot of things. Lol

I understand that part. But if you want low search volume from some tools, use anything other than ahrefs Especially semrush.

Ahrefs provides you easiest customisation with a lot of other features.

Then why dwell on which tool to use? just pick one and look at these other things that matter most :)
Because I want to determine which one is accurate in what aspect. And then I can decide the best combo for me.

Are you referring to "low hanging" keywords or actual search volume?

Many Keywords I came across on ahrefs as low KD, high search volume, had high KD and insanely low search volume on semrush lol

Yes, that's why I ignore KD. Search volumes are quite accurate on Ahrefs though.

You are using too many tools this is so disturbing. Use any one of them see the result and research manually analys the competitors make a decision. Fainally, I recommend ahrefs.

don't compare a tool to another tool, that will give you no proper comparison with the actual and real search volumes,
compare tools to google keyword planner, filter it by country to get a better results :)

I am not using so many for my work. I was trying to find out a proper combo with near accurate results.

Okay will try this as well

I also use semrush. For me it’s just the easiest.
Whenever I try to look for easy keywords I never get any keyword with volume higher than 1k in semrush

I only use Ahrefs. And what I will do exactly, reverse my competitor's content and look after which keywords they have been ranked for without any kinds of targeting or optimization. Then I pick those keywords, which have better search intents. And I am not considering any monthly search volume. I got 500 traffics from a 0 search volume keyword previously. So, this is how it works for me.
