Hi,

I've spotted quite a few broken links (domains) in authoritative sites, these are misspelled domains i was wondering if i buy them and i redirect them to my money pages will the link juice pass on? And will it last?

Also, if i 301 redirect this broken link, if the owner of the authority sites decides to do a broken link checkup, will my 301 redirect still show as a broken link in the scan?

Thank you

It's a good strategy, but it really depends on Google. Nowadays, 301 redirects like this still work in 2021 but they don't always receive 100% of the juice all the time. Consider trying but lower your expectations.

Thank you for your reply! I appreciate it!

I'll surely keep your advice in mind. From what I know when you do a 301 redirect within the same domain you lose about 15% of juice with every redirect, but when using a totally different domain name i guess the amount of juice lost is way more than 15%.

You are right, I shall try that, I just wanted to make sure that there isn't any risk of penalisation by Google if I use this strategy.

Yes but it can get expensive, if u have the budget go for it
If u wanna make sure the links last longer go on web archive see what was on the page thats now offline and make your page similar
That way if the web owner looks into his own content and see your content that hes linking to, hell see that its relevant and might keep the link
