Yo, so I am selling some saas subscriptions via PayPal and obviously there are many horror stories people told me about where there account got banned, they couldnt access money anymore and lost all their subscribers.
Anybody here has experience with this? Did it happen to you? Was there anything you could have done to prevent it? Do I need TOS for my SaaS ?

use something else like 2check, stripe, btc theres even more. I know post people use paypal because they are attached to paypal. Even though paypal sucks. complete junk. Most people pay with paypal because they can easily scam paypal, bypass their shit security.

Yes and it cost me a lot of money.

Don't be silly. Just use Stripe.

Well I could advise to continue using your PayPal account without buying any plugin to authenticate,always try something you new on as troubleshoot to get the best results

Sooner or later they will ban you, just a matter of time.

Saw one guy once one marketplace selling a service for paypal account reactivation but dont even remember his name rn, anyways I will learn from your experiences and will work with other banking processors.

I also got banned in PayPal. I tried it with several accounts, some work longer, some were closed after a few days. It's right you can't acces the money after a ban, but just temporary. Lately after 180 days PayPal will payout your money.
But don't count on PayPal, try to offer many different payment providers, then a ban hurts your business instead of killing it.

I am wondering about in what countries these bans happen. In EU paypal has a luxembourg banking licensce so we should have them pretty much on their balls over here .... I hope haha

Maybe, but if you go against them with a lawyer - even if you would win and PayPal has to open your account again, don't foget it might take a few weeks or months till a court judges them. Especially in CoVid times. For that time period you should have other payment providers.

Try and avoid PayPal as they do ban accounts for little or no reason. But it is sometimes hard not to use it.
If you have to use one make sure you don’t hold any large amounts of funds in it. 180 days can be a long time to wait if you need them funds out.
