Google pr update 31. Dec

Even I don't pay that much attention to PR I checked on my sites
and most my sites stayed same, the ones that gained PR gained on inner pages (WP) even though almost no links are coming to them

my main blog is PR2 from PR1.

ive been optimizing one post/page that was published less than a month ago and it is now PR4 for that specific post.

not bad

nice my 2 weeks old blog went from PR0 to PR3 :) thanks google :)

I don't understand this fascination with PR that a lot of webmasters have. It's almost meaningless. Traffic should be your main concern and making money off the traffic. I guess unless you are in the business of selling links to newbs, then PR could be important.

It's funny when some people brag about their PR as if it's the size of their d**k... lol

My grey hat subdomain blog has lost its PR 1. But my main .com lead capture page has boost to PR 2. hmmm strange

Wow my 120 days old domain has got PR4 ... I even doublechecked from another place - it does show PR4 ...

I did next to nothing in terms of link building. Here is exactly what I did, in natural order:

1) registered profile in a small forum in my niche, added my site to my signature and did about 12 posts there so far (no spamming, the SUBJ is of my interest)

2) registered another profile in another a bit larger forum (same niche), and had about 3 posts there

3) submitted stupid press-release to PRLOG.ORG, (referring me about 1 visitor per month) but did it for BL

4) submitted my link to the authority .ORG site's resources page, and they approved my link, so I have got another link from .ORG PR3 page, also getting 2-4 ref visits from there daily

5) emailed a webmaster who has an old directory site in my niche, introducing my site and asking for a link, and they added a link from PR5 page, they also send me about 25 ref visitors daily

This is it, I did not do anything else.

In Google Analytics I see 21 different referral sites for the past 2 months. 7 of those are Google.XX.XX (Translate, Images, CO.UK, .CA, CO.HK, .RU, .JP, etc). Also there are 5 sites that I did BL myself.

So there are 9 sites where other people put links to my site. Too lazy to trace them down to see their follow/ page PR

Google's link:mysite.com shows 3 links
inanchor:mysite.com shows 8 links and 6,000+ with duplicates included (almost all are my internal links)

Yahoo's site explorer shows 26 external links from 8 domains

Mine all seem to be the same as they were, my Twitter page is the only one with a rank worth having (:

One blog went from PR1 to PR2, another went from PR0 to PR2 and another had no change, it's still a PR0. This is nice to know, but my positions in the SERP's and my traffic are far more important.

@jakeruston

you must be something right my man

Thanks :)

Well basically all I've done is spent countless hours building Wordpress plugins to go into the Wordpress plugin directory with a link to me at the bottom of the plugin. Completely whitehat, and it's built me a hell of a lot of links :)

wow my naruto video pr 2 with basic blogspot template ... so damn good ... thank google

One of my websites went from PR0 ->PR6, but Its only 1 month old.Is this a joke?
There is only about 7-10 links from different domains.

Still no changes on my main site! I have a lot of backlinks but google don`t count them. G just hating my adult blog! :)

I notice that the update seems to favor the inner pages a lot. I seldom get my inner pages with any PR but they are now PR2 to PR3 even though there's nothing spectacular.
