yes. because sometimes unless you invest good money into marketing and such.. a site will need time by itself to take off and start making you money
probably after tens or hundred posts ...
so yeah
make a blog
stick to posting to it daily or atleast regularly

Yes, depending on your keyword, it may take more than 6 months before it truly takes off.
Patience is the biggest key factors most people don't see.
This isn't a thing where you will see instant results, don't believe the ones who are promising xyz results #1 for their xyz packages.
How are you promoting yourself?
Are you getting any traffic? Where from?
How are you monetizing your blog.
What have you done in terms of On/Off Site SEO
Remember, the starting months are all about foundation, your foundation is the key to your success.
Without a solid foundation, well.. i'm sure you know exactly what will happen.
