I report anyone who isn't Jr VIP trying to sell me stuff in the inbox. If he had a legit method that he could sell for $200, don't you think he would make a thread and sell it? On the internet, you have to assume they are a scammer, not assume they are legit.
You assume they are trying to scam you, until you get support evidence which contradicts the assumption.

adding to all above: just dont buy stuff if its not on a BST. there is a good reason non jr VIP members cant sell stuff.

This was actually one of the easiest SLs threads to mediate based on some background info we had and the accused's failure to respond.
They ain't always easy and some do cause an extra gray hair or two but any staff member that deals with them is glad to do to help keep the community clean.

The way he asked for more money right after he sent him the money pisses me off. Not only he scammed him out of $199 but he wanted to scam him out of more money. These scammers are non-human.

They're marketplace threads; buy sell trade thread. they go through mod approval before making it to the forum, so its more or less guaranteed to at least deliver the product without weird hijinks.

If he did not have a paid membership he is not allowed to sell and it would be in the best interest of the community for you to report that person.
