People wonder about alien life and claim to be prepared for it

Also people: don't wear a mask, it doesn't help.

Just wish you got COVID and go through an instant-regret moment. Then you would def wear a mask ;)

What still hasn't stopped to amaze me is that suddenly, in 2020, humans realized that people actually die - and got so much shocked from the realization.

Let me ask you this. Consider the era before covid. Do you own a car? Do you drive to go to work? Do you go to the beach? Do you perhaps fly to go to vacation? Do you spend the majority of your income on things that have nothing to do about your subsistence but only offer you pleasure? Do you perhaps live on a house instead of a shed you built yourself?

Well congratulations. You don't care about people dying from car accidents, the workers dying from accidents to produce all the things you consume (and the lower order goods used to produce the things you buy) or the detrimental effects of pollution (down the line). You're quite the little monster, aren't you? :D
Ok lets see. If i buy a car it would be my responsibility to drive safely and not be the cause of accident. Which i can do because its in my control.
If i wear a mask, even if i have corona i will not be infecting others(not 100% but to some extent) and its not a big deal unless you have inflated ego and a die hard conspiracy theorist...

Let me guess you guys believe 5g causes cancer right?

You fail to understand. You driving/riding a car increases the chances of road accidents regardless if you end up being involved in one or not. From the obvious congestion factor, to road tears, to normalizing the usage of cars with your behavior etc. etc. Therefore your behavior is morally reprehensible, if we use your standards.

If i wear a mask, even if i have corona i will not be infecting others(not 100% but to some extent)

Wearing a mask is the tree to look at, while missing the forest. And the forest is that:

a) The quality of daily life for people has decreased
b) The income of people has decreased in the aggregate, making (a) even worse

and its not a big deal

Well, whether something is or isn't a big deal for someone, depends solely on the said someone. Nobody wants to stop you personally from going out to the streets in your pajamas either, if you are so inclined.

Let me guess you guys believe 5g causes cancer right?

No, I don't. Now what? What kind of red herring you're gonna try next, Einstein?

1. Wearing mask decreases the risk of spread. Simple as that. Wear a mask or stay home. I am not gonna argue about whether life is better than 15th century or worse. That's not the point. Point is you can decrease the spread of virus by wearing a mask, whether you want to do it or not is entirely upto you. Data never lies. You can see multiple case studies proving this.

Too bad that *I* never argued anything about masks, so why are you saying these things me? Oh wait, could it be because you want to steer clear of the one thing *I* actually argued about you?

And - since you don't recall - let me spell it out again. You, personally, are not eligible to claim the high ground of "caring" about peoples lives, because your actions clearly and positively say otherwise. To do so, is to be a hypocrite. And of course, you might be ok with being one, but that doesn't mean people don't see it.

So long as you do not denounce the modern way of life and live in some countryside in almost complete autarky (like your ancestors did), you are placing your desire for the privileged life above the lives of the others. You do not care. You pretend to care, naturally, but only until caring crosses your bottom-line. After that, other peoples lives suddenly aren't invaluable any more.

You are getting too philosophical. Im not arguing whether me breathing air is causing harm to others. My point is as long as my direct actions (which i can consciously control) do not harm others, i will do so and preach so. Im not taking moral high ground but i for sure will call out anyone who willingly chooses to be ignorant.
You on the other hand took it out of context with your irrelevant arguments. Its like if someone calls out a drunk driver for causing accident, you going and telling the guy that called out not to preach cuz he owns a car too.

My point is as long as my direct actions (which i can consciously control) do not harm others, i will do so and preach so.

So you're saying you do not directly control your lifestyle? Unless you're not an adult (in which case, sure), who exactly is it that controls it? Santa?

And if you're an adult, you can certainly directly choose to not harm anyone by espousing the life of autarky in some mountain village. You don't even need to have any kind of serious capital to start, the villages are practically empty. I, for my part, wish you best of happiness in the Zen monk lifestyle.

i for sure will call out anyone who willingly chooses to be ignorant.

It's like a murderer calling out other people on their lack of piousness. It's laughable and cringe. Hence, why I've been pointing out your hypocrisy. I'm sure you're just ignorant about it and not having actually invested any thought on it. And, since you're such a moral person in your core, I'm sure that you'll adjust your ways now that the light has been made accessible to you.

You on the other hand took it out of context with your irrelevant arguments.

Yes, I'm pretty sure that your being a hypocritical hysteric, moralizing on others about things you are guilty of ... is so much out of context. Or perhaps it's just that you don't like being called on by applying the same standards to you. I wonder what it is, who knows. :D

Me telling others to wear mask is same as you telling me to live a secluded life in mountains. Thats as dumb as it gets. I am done arguing with you.

Will you look at that, still trying to wiggle out. :D I didn't ask you to go live the Zen life - you'll do that on your own because you are not a hypocrite, right? Instead, I called you out for pretending to be a virgin while having already divorced 5 times. Do I really need to point out for the third time what exactly I quoted from your post? Well, I guess it's not that hard work. Here it is then, maybe this time it will register to you.

But young people can infect others - young and old alike. But i guess you don’t care about that.

See, it's just a few posts back, there was no problem for you to check it on your own. But worry not, I have provided for you (no need to thank me, I am just a simple
humanitarian person who doesn't look for gratitude).

I am done arguing with you.

What do you mean done arguing? You didn't even begin to argue - surely you don't classify incoherent ramblings as argument. Granted, there was no standing for you make an argument, but still, you could have tried better. In any case, I shouldn't be holding you up while you're trying to pack your bags for the mountains.

And? I told him he can infect others even if covid is not deadly for him. Then you came and said i am hypocrite to tell him that because i am potentially harming others by living a modern life. How are the two things relevent?

Let me make this super bold for you.

"But I guess you don’t care about that."

In India FARMERS are Protesting since 32 days without any mask and social distancing.
No reports of Corona as Such.
But Corona is for real, bcoz many Freinds lost their taste and smell,
But Govt has made it too Extreme

Its good, imagine how guilty you would feel if you spread this deadly illness to someone without knowing and then they died or spread it to some who died?

A few days at home in quarantine seems a small price to pay to not accidentally murder someone.

Agree with this. Having experience of covid, I can speak only for myself that it’s relatively mild but there’s no underlying uniformity in symptom and affects which may make it deadly to a select few. When I hear of people sneaking out of quarantine to go grocery shopping and what not.... it’s just so wrong of them unless they are ok with the fact that they happen to infect that one in a million person who will experience serious complications or may even die due to it because they were bored at home.
