1. Wearing mask decreases the risk of spread. Simple as that. Wear a mask or stay home. I am not gonna argue about whether life is better than 15th century or worse. That's not the point. Point is you can decrease the spread of virus by wearing a mask, whether you want to do it or not is entirely upto you. Data never lies. You can see multiple case studies proving this.
