He was very poorly off in India because of the caste system. One day he packed his few things and just walked to Europe through countless countries.

This is pretty much my story. But by Caste system you mean Reverse Caste system right? These days if you are a brahmin you will pretty much be given the finger even if you are rigrously better at every aspect of a job, in favour of any Mochis etc any chance they get. Then when it turns out they weren''t fit for a job, they'll try to come crying back to you. True story by the way.

I'm glad i'm out of India. It's not so bad since modi sarkar I guess but still, that's just one of a multiude of reasons not go there again.

And what makes you think that depression is a phenomenon specific only to third world countries? I don't think China should be on your list by the way. If you think China is a third world country you clearly haven't been.
Poverty is the number 1 cause of depression. Cut throat competition leads to depression. It's prevelant in third world countries.
Yes, china is a third world country, there GDP per capita is not high enough, it's full of dirt. It has a long way to go.
It will take china atleast a 100 year to have the west like quality of life.
China may surpass US in terms of economy but it still stands no chance against the western quality of life.

And btw where you live now?

I live in merry 'ol England. Firstly, just wondered more precisely what you meant by 'west like' quality of life as it can mean a few things I guess?
But speaking economically, if you've been to the UK have you been to places like Blackpool and seen the poverty there? Or even Scotland which has been described as a third world country within the United Kingdom that the other constituencies carry around economically, weekend at bernies style. Things are not always as black and white as they might appear from any distant standpoint.

As for China, there is an economic divide. I can't see it closing per se and transforming into a generic widespread middle class like in some of your 'western' countries but they, the upper classses in china that drive the corporations there are "pulling the working classes up" - let me tell you, and this is something i've seen myself - when I was tending to a business matter I got to liase with a Chinese multi, multi millionaire who had made for his thousand strong workforce a 'servant' quarter. This servant quarter was nothing short of a five star hotel, and the quality of life that the staff had, at least in terms of household luxurys could easily put any appartment owners standard in some so called tier one countries to shame. And that is not an anomaly. A lot of billionaire and elites there do this. Entire towns have been built and "preserved" to move rural chinese communities into them. Not saying China is perfect, far for from it but to tar them with the same brush as places like Nigeria is just ....

Also I have to disagree about your diagnosis of the causes of depression. Poverty can lead to all kinds of strife and can cause anxiety but depression is an affliction caused by excessive sedntarism coupled with abysmal eating habits. Which might help explain why rates are higher in the so called 'west'.

Am also Nigerian and I understand how it feel...

There's a whole lots of limitations out there, I also faced same problem when I tried making a living online...

Am not gonna bore you with long story...

Tried CPA Marketing Failed❌
Tried Affiliate Marketing ❌
Tried Fiverr❌
Tried Blogging ❌

Tried a whole lot but failed, but you know the Best part while doing all that, I acquired these skillset copywriting, graphics design, web design and media buying...

I became so good at THIS (After 5 years)...

I decided to trade my skill for money, today I run my own Digital Marketing Agency.

I Help Business Owners get more eye balls on their products and services.

And those things I tired and failed during my early days.

GUESS What?

Crushing them now!

So my advice is keep pushing, get yourself a mentor.

And have it in mind that failure is part of the journey.

Pookamani..

The rates are higher in west because they are reporting more accurately, and by the way how old are you if I may ask? At what age you immigrated to UK? I am thinking of leaving india too and my reasons are pretty same like yours, I don't like India's discriminatory caste system where people are selected based on what caste they are of. Any place which doesn't has caste / race / look based discrimination is perfect for me. For example china, USA etc.

Hello guys, i know this is not an health forum but i do know that some of us here, might have passed this phase already.

I'm 26, A graduate of estate valuation in Nigeria.

Graduated with 2:1 which isn't bad compared to other grades.

I graduated in 2015. it's been 5 years now, yet i couldn't land a single job (here in Nigeria, you need to know someone who will recommend you for a job, fortunately i come from a poor family, as such, i don't know any influential person who will give me a letter of recommendation.)

I decided to go Online, probably I'll make some money.

Tried affiliate networks, but seems like Nigerians have been blacklisted by almost all the Networks (tried using Chrome VPN extensions, still without success of getting into ClickBank).

Right now, I feel like I'm a failure as no one respects me in the family anymore (Including my siblings).

Lately, throughout this week, all I've been thinking of, is Taking my own life.

I know it's not the reasonable thing to do, but i feel like i will be relieved of my pains and suffering i'm going through right now.

I'll be Grateful if i could get some advice on how to stop these thoughts going on in my head.
You need to talk to someone about it. You need to vent.

Magnesium deficiency may be hidden reason for feeling low..even suicidal.. boost your imunity..eat healthy.. stay off too much internet.. be thankfull with what you have.. work hard.. take care of your body.. build some muscle.. learn some martial skills... and yes, stop being a little bitch about it

Bro I'm from Nigeria too, almost in same position as you. But I have my family to worry about, suicide is not an option.

I am currently not earning a penny online, spent my last earnings on drugs.. How foolish of me, but I want to let you know that there is a brighter days ahead.

Do not give up hope, I have no advice to give you then to say keep pushing forward. You can DM me let's discuss more options to make money online.

I hope you are well, my friend. Never give up no matter how bad or difficult everything is. Keep trying... I know everyone says this but it's that simple. You need to find something to distract your mind. Doing sports, making music or other things, you will definitely find a way, don't give up...
