Ok, I'm gonna out this.
A few days ago I was notified of new posts on this thread, and saw this above saying they have thousands of fresh IPs.
I decided to try it and made a subscription for 7 proxies. Indeed as soon as the subscription was done I receive the list of proxies. All proxies have IPv4 and IPv6 addresses, that's awesome as most private proxy services don't even provide IPv6 and those who do charge separate plans for them. Here we get both protocols on all proxies on their standard plans.
But they didn't work. I already have a dedicated proxy subscription on another company and use them on Brave with SwitchyOmega extension, with HTTP (not HTTPS) and username authentication.
I just created a new profile and used the same settings, there's nothing special to set at all. And it didn't work, I got a ERR_PROXY_CONNECTION_FAILED.
I tried HTTPS and HTTP, tried IPv4 and IPv6. Tried google.com, reddit and whatismyipaddress. When using HTTP + IPv4, I kept getting dialogs asking to login on proxy, but they just disappear in less than a second. Oddly, under proxyall.com including their support area, this dialog kept poppying multiple times until the full page would load.
I turned back to my other proxies and they just work fine. BTW, when I got them a few months ago, I had no issue installing and setting proxy on Brave.
I opened a ticket on their support and provided the JSON code of a SwitchyOmega profile, and took the chance to ask if my USA proxies are indeed fresh. They ignored the fresh question and told me to re-save password and wait 10min. I did that and same error message remains on those sites, but now no login dialog appears anymore and their site opens with no issues.
Their support replied asking what sites I was testing and suggested they may have blocked the proxies. But wait, aren't them fresh?! And how come all sites had blocked them? And why would that result on ERR_PROXY_CONNECTION_FAILED, while proxy works fine on their site? If it works on their site, then browser settings are correct, and it's their proxy that's failing to reach outside, isn't it?
I asked that and asked for them to test on Brave + SwitchyOmega, as if it'd work they could provide me the settings code.
I just got another reply ignoring everything I asked, including the 2nd time I ask if they are fresh. They just told me to switch my proxies to IPv4 first or IPv4 only. Well I can't do that, because just after subscription I noticed I made a mistake on it choosing "Anonymous with a fake IP for X-Forwarded-For" instead of "Fully Anonymous", and made another mistake switching all of them at once, so now I can't switch again until next invoice.
And why did they reply orienting to switch from IPv6 first to IPv4 first? I'm sure whatismyipaddress supports IPv6. I tried both ipv4.google.com and ipv6.google.com with same result.
Every support I got so far was misleading, they ignore that the error message implies proxy connection issue, ignore most of my questions. They also didn't provide any example or tutorial of a browser and extention that they are sure to work.
I'm still waiting for a proper support and would like to remain as their customer. But this last reply suggesting that 2 big portals and a portal specialized on IP diagnose don't support IPv6 rly got me mad.
