Hello everyone,

I have a Instagram account with 100k following in the travel/luxury niche. The page has been steadily on the decline with followers and the engagements aren't good for a page this size. Is there a angle or a hack with the Instagram algorithm that I can grow this page? Any help would be appreicated! Thanks

Basically, all the old good ways to get followers is what still makes sense today : M/S or Shoutouts. IG ads if you have a higher budget (for T1 audience).

Thanks everyone for the info. I've done all the basics like follow/unfollow and hashtag research, but I've read that Instagram doesn't like the follow/unfollow method. I am kind of looking for a gray/black method of gaining traction on my page.

I don't think any Youtube videos or internet guides will ever make a huge difference, for someone who really needs a growth boost. There's no direct or easy hack..

Being creative, stacking knowledge years after years and building your own strategy will make you grow. Otherwise, your money will only be the one who'll do the job for you !

You can sell your account and make focus on another account.

I always say the same thing when it comes to instagram growth. If you have no budget and no time, you won’t be making any improvements. if you have no budget & time, you should focus on building a network and start doing f/uf, maybe try to engage with current followers that got inactive. If you have a budget i’d recommend either m/s or mass dms.

Start Rotating your hashtags (different set of tags for each post ) and experiment, if it's yielding good results- exploit, if not keep exploring and on a longer run, apply the best result you got *with tags*

I was thinking about removing ghost followers too, but don't understand how to know if its a real ghost follower who see posts and don't like/comment or someone who is not interacting just because Instagram don't show posts for them?

Just start with the most obvious ones, then wait if you will see ER improvement.
If your ER doesn't improve, then make a list of your followers (who engaged with your X last posts & stories), once you have the list - you will start removing followers that are not on it.

Thank you for answering! Is it possible that Instagram will think that I'm losing followers (because of deleting) and decrease post visibility? I just heard theories about this and don't know how it will turn out in practice

That's what I've been doing. I have more than a dozen hashtag categories

If you have a bad engagement there is a change that you have many dead accounts following you + you could boost some engagement by talking more with followers, posting stories, and posts with engaging content. Engaging means, you can ask questions, write something where someone would want to answer back, etc. + you could use some ads as well. As for hashtags, use some smaller ones, under 1mil or even 500k . Long term that will take longer to achieve and harder work but with a big page, it will be worth it. There are no simple hacks that will fix everything in a day.
