Hi:

First of all let me warn you that this is a rant.

So I wanted to buy the acclaimed and supposedly awesome AutoSocialPoster (or ASP) from Mass-Automation, you know, the software that lets you set your blog to autobookmark your new posts to social bookmarking sites. Quite a few users on this forum praise ASP as the next best thing after sliced bread :D

So here I go to their website, skip past the mega-hype sales letter straight to the facts... but... huh? 34 social bookmarking sites you say? now, where is that list? I browse page after page and nowhere can I find the list.

I see "Support" on the menu but it requires you to register and so I did. Register, wait for the email, confirm the email, login, post a support ticket asking for the list.

Their "support" answers like they have to pay for every letter they type:
"We don't publish such a list since we update it on a regular basis"

Cool, I say, I understand why you can't publish it because then you would be forced to change it on a continuous basis, can you still send me your current list even if it is outdated by the time it hits my inbox?

Their reply is: (again, like this is a telegraph and they are charged with every letter) "As we mentioned such list is not available." And then the jerk proceeds to close my ticket!

What da heck is that? How do these guys pretend to be able to do business? Do they feel so popular and so mighty that they no longer feel it is worth going through the trouble of answering a customer's questions?

I guess I deserve it for trying to do things the right way and buying it from them instead of downloading one of the hacked versions floating around.

/rant off

Well they want you to buy their shit first, understandable from their point of view.

PS ... how the hell are you Jr.VIP with barely any posts / thanks / rep ?????

Sexual favors to one of the mods? :p

Back to topic.....
Was this guy dumped by his girlfriend or something? I can't help it but laugh at how pathetic and full of themselves their customer service is:

me: How do I know if your product is for me if I don't know beforehand what sites you support? -->

Him: We have a 30-day refund policy. Having said that, if you feel you are not conformable enough to buy our product, then I will suggest that you postpone your purchase.

That's gotta be the worst customer service line I've ever heard... especially considering he is there for the sole purpose of converting you into a customer.

Yeah man, he is basically showing me the door and saying: your money is no good here.

lol that guy will probably end up getting fired. He shouldn't have said that

I wish! I was so excited and ready to pull out my credit card and he dropped a bucket of cold water on my head. But... for some reason I feel he is either the boss or one of the top guys on that company, he seems too self confident to be just a simple support guy.

If anyone knows how to contact one of the big guys at Mass-Automation, please let me know. The name of this customer service representative is "Gambit/Mat".

Anyway, here is the next chapter on the story of Fulano vs "Mass Automation evil representative":

him:
As a reminder, the list you requested is available to existing ASP customers only. It is available in ASP settings.

Oh noes! I'm sorry I asked for the secret recipe behind ASP, hehe. Maybe their list of social bookmarking sites is exclusive and no one knows about it, unless you are one of the chosen ones! :D
