wouldn't google know it's spinned content and penalise my site or not rank it at all?

no not at all, there are literally thousands of sites generated from this software ranking on google rightnow and non have been banned or getting any kind of penalty.
if it wouldnt work, there would be tons of complaints, but since this software exists (private 2010 and public around 2011) not a single customer said his sites where deindexed.

you can schedule new posts with random future dates in wordpress, so your blog will automatically publish new posts for years if you want to, but you can't re-edit already posted content.
there is also no point in doing that as if you rank a page and its content changes, it would lose its ranking most likely.

Meant to say a small portion of the page so it can both keep its rank and be crawled as new content at the same time. I've seen couple individuals recommend this tactic if you're using adsense but I've never seen proof of it.

its a windows desktop application, but you can try to run it in an emulator like "wine". there is a demo version on our site which you can use to test.

yes thats one of the main features that you can generate many sites and many pages.
you can either generate static HTML sites, or use wordpress. there is also a mass mode where you can create multiple wp blogs at once (or update them with new posts).
traffic depends on how you promote the sites, as they are just like normal websites/blogs.
