Anyone currently advertising on facebook. I'm currently testing out facebook and the cost per click vs cost per impression. Ran the exact same ad and demographics each for 24 hours on a $25 dollar budget. Both are based on an average cost per click ratio.

The numbers are quite different even though the ads are the same.

CPC
78 clicks
62,470 impressions
0.125% click through

CPM
46 clicks
231,523 impressions
.020% click through

And ideas?

If you are doing CPM and have a Nice Ad then U way more clicks then u can buy from CPC
if u r dvertising some bore thing like Forex trading Well then use CPC
Even if u advertise forex like
"do u want A Nice car we can give it to you" ppl will definately click more

Just wondering why there's such a huge discrepancy between CPC and CPM when the ad is exactly the same.

Could the CPC be getting better placement? I know you targeted the same people, but FB might put the CPC on the pages it knows it will get more clicks.

yeah, its placement

fb will give you better placement on cpc unless you have a high then suggested bid on cpm
