yes it will do take that long. May be longer than that if you are not creating backlinks for your website or new pages.

create a 2nd level footer and add the categories (if you have silo structure) or else add you direct content there. it will help you to get index very quickly without even manual effort (that's what I do)

Once you submit your sitemap in google search console then it will automatically index your post. But if you want to index quickly any of the your post then you can submit your post URL otherwise no need to submit every-time...

Really? The only links i see indexed quickly are medium articles and Blogger .com posts.
