[Journey] $$$ Web Design ! Starting budget 30 $ !!!

Hello darkness my old friend !

Hey my name is Mec and I'm a new web designer with ambition ! So after the Corona hit my country and I'm as poor as I can be, having troubles paying the electricity and eat as healthy as I should , I've decide to start learning coding "html CSS and JavaScript " I've did it for about 2 months like 16 h per day !
Here I am , right now ,I'm working in a internet kf and I got plenty of time and a laptop so I decide to start my own businesses . I've searched all over the internet and decided to sell web sites for small businesses as myself at very reasonable prices compared with other web companys in my country ! I will write about every step I took so you guys can inspire or you can help me out with advices , I will really appreciate every advise good or bad !


I made a Q&A just in case so you guys know where I stand right now :

• What do you use for back end :
• For now I didn't decide if I will use back end at all I'm really new with word press , I will try to find clients to make a site only for presentation ! Using html CSS and java !

• Whats your starting buget :
• I've got 30$ saved .

• The name of your company :
• I've decided to name it sitebook , dunno why I just like the way it sounds !

• Do you make the logos aswell :
• To be onest I don't know how to make them but I will learn and let you guys know how is gonna work .

• Do you plan hire others ? :
• I got 30 bucks right not but I'm planning on hire some of my friends to put them to call and searc for new costumers.

• How do you find your costumers:
• I'm using Google and a website where are listed all of the new firms in my country and I'm gonna call each and every single new one on the list !

• How much will you charge ? :
• I'm gonna charge maybe 200 $ and a tax of 8 dollars per month for taking care of the web and in case they wanna change something , and I'm trying to make a passive income aswell !

Ok folks ! If you have other questions I'm all ears , I will post everything over here , every step , how much I've paid for domain , if I used or not wordpress I will post screens with the websites I'm gonna make aswell so you can let me know if something doesn't look good ! I will update as often as i can or i make a progress !

This is actually an interesting journey.

It's something I wanted to do as well but decided to go to other ventures.
What I had in mind was the idea of creating websites for small companies, just like you want to do. I noticed that in my local area and nearby cities, there's lots of small companies that don't even have a basic website, let alone a well made social media page.

I thought that I could contact those companies and see if they want to have a simple website made, with what they have to offer. With how easy it is right now to create a website and fill it with everything you'd want to, I didn't think it could take that much work.

Anyways, my suggestions are to search around your local areas for small Pizza businesses or furniture sellers, etc. See if they have a website or not and how well made their Facebook / Twitter pages are.
I'm thinking that maybe you could convince them easier if you throw in that you can set up their social media pages to look good as well.

It's all about how well you can sell this idea to them. How well you can convince them that they NEED to have a website made to attract more customers
I'll be following this journey as I'm curious how it turns out. Good luck OP!

Yep same thing in my town and the are around it I've found so many businesses without even a basic website , yep I'm planning on learning how to be a good seller aswell and see how it goes cuz I'm so hyped about it !!! Thank you so much for your response really means a lot for me

Hey s o took me a while to make my logo!
I have to tell you guys I ain't no designer but I've used some logos makers found on web , and end up with this one !!!

Now I'm gonna start to build my own website! After that I will look for a cheap host and start making some phone calls !
Ain't gonna be eazy but I kinda have to do it !!!! ​

Logo looks nice, but I bet many more knowledged people will say it looks bad. That's because just like you, I'm no designer myself, and everything that looks a little above average looks good to us lol.
I do have some suggestions though when it comes to the logo and probably other design parts of the website. You could try Canva. They offer a 30 days free trial and believe me, it's GREAT for what it offers. You get access to a huge list of copyright free art pieces that you can use to design anything you want, and it's mostly drag and drop.

The making some phone calls part is gonna be tough.
But with enough trial and error I'm sure you will find some good lines to start with and it will become easier to convince people to get your service ^^

so i've made the first page of the website , took me a while had other things to do aswell !
ive uploaded on some free site ive found on web .
i will buy a domain and a host after its finished and works well , and i will start to phone call plp around me !
