I've been looking for new affiliate networks to join and been recommended AdCombo multiple times, so decided to give it a go. The application was almost too easy and I was given access to the dashboard few hours later. There is virtually no verification and if you want you could create 10 accounts the same day.

Cool, right? Unfortunately, shortly after joining I received a message saying that payouts for new members might be held for 1 to 3 weeks. Ok, well not too bad, right? Wrong again! After sending some traffic and earning over $200 I decided it was enough and I'll wait for my payment before investing more. I contacted my affiliate manager and asked if everything is alright and should I expect my money in 3 weeks - she said yes.

3 Weeks later:
- 'Hey, my money is still on hold, any idea why?'
- 'Oh you've been running some high-risk offers, we will have to hold your money 1-2 months'
(I was running some very basic CPA offers every single network has)

-'But this hold is applicable only the first time, right?'
-'Oh nono, it is like this every time!'

1 Month later:
Sorry, we still haven't received any information about your traffic and we cannot release the money until then.

So, besides them not wanting to pay you money, the 'amazing' offers they claimed they have aren't that good either. The dashboard is flooded with scam offers where you buy a $1 toilet brush and get charged $99 every month for 2 years and such. Their famous COD offers are somewhat of a train-wreck too with call centers being terribly unprofessional. Dating ones are somewhat more or less decent, but the choices are very limited. Another BIG downside: you can't see EPC until an offer is approved for you, so you have to chose them blindly.

Thanks a lot for the heads up! Definitely useful for new affiliates.

Aren't 90% of the offers in the media buying AM industry are scams at this point?

I personally use a lot of products advertised on Maxbounty, for example Spotify Premium, so no, not everything has to be a scam.

I can understand that as an advertiser dealing with networks.
First of all, if they are too good and trusted we pay them on Net 15 and in SOME cases, NET 7. The market's standard is Net 30. Meaning we process their invoices 15 days after the end of the month (in Net 15 case) but before that we do a manual check on their leads per sub ID (each of their affiliates) to see if there is any pattern of fraud. If detected we disapprove that, provide a report and we do NOT pay for that traffic/conversion. Thus they will not pay YOU in return and they have to block you even.
If you are an old and trusted partner of them, depending on your payment deal, they would pay you before getting paid themselves as your traffic will be 90% legit and they are willing to take that 10% risk to keep you working with them.
So being new and having to wait 1 month (meaning they will get paid themselves on Net 30, I used to work with adcombo and pay them on net30) means that your traffic is going through a check (totally normal)

Yeah they are not the only one and they will not be the last, most of them steal your leads, for example the same offer same image same text same payout from different network, the first one get 10 leads the second network get 1 lead, when you ask why and whats the problem they tell you just let me chack and then give you another two leads, and say that the fraud system flaged those two leads and I have check them and they are clean, or they tell you something just to keep you sending traffic and make them money, some of them will just suspend your payment and tell you invalid traffic or you use spoofing, or sometime they tell you the dumpest thing ever, I have been working with an email marketing company and the last month we got an account with 17k suspended, the reason is complains from receivers.
and they know you will not do anything and you will make another account and get paid for two or three month and then they will suspend your account again.

The best two network, that will pay you if you stick to their rules are CX3, W4 and Maxbunty

1 Month hold for newbies is totally normal, however lying about the holds and asking affiliate to wait 1-2 month EVERY time is not normal.

Work with just reputed companies.
When I started Affiliate marketing I joined the network (forgot name) and I made $120 in the week by working continuously, but the network was fake, and never get a single dollar from it.

Believe it or not, AdCombo is very reputable and pays millions a year.

Not necessarily lying, before running any offer, ask about the payment term and checking period for that specific offer.
I'm not defending Adcombo, but I know them and they are a serious player in the market.
You have to communicate with them and ask about everything before running

I had no problem with their cod offers.

They’re legit, but they are more advertiser oriented and do not care about some low profit publishers. Next to all the offers there is a line saying that your leads might be under review for up to 2 months, but you only see it if you’re looking for it. It’s just false advertising what it is.

Try to find direct advertisers buddy, you make more money and you get the right epc (all networks shave)

First of all thank you for joining AdCombo. Now let me explain this issue. We don’t have hold period for COD offers, but for others hold period may apply. If so, there will be information about approximate hold period in the offer’s description. That’s why we always recommend to start with COD offers. Once we see that you have good traffic, and it can easily be checked on COD offers after reaching around $200 on your balance, we can ask the advertiser to approve your leads without long hold period.

Probably you were running some VIP offers, where we have hold period of 2 month. And probably advertiser wasn’t very happy with the traffic, that’s why it took so long. Btw, advertiser not always gives a full traffic report, mainly because they don't want to share the ways of how they catch fraud traffic.

Regarding EPC. You can always ask your manager to get you a list of top offers with EPC, so you can choose the right one for you.

I wish I haven't joined.

1. There is no clear information about the holds present upon joining, you just claim to have the fastest payouts and 'no annoying holds'

2. After asking my affiliate manager what does 'max hold time' means (which is written in hours for maximum confusion) she told me not to worry about and expect my payouts in few weeks.

3. You haven't even bothered checking my account and ALREADY assuming I have committed FRAUD!?

4. 'advertiser not always gives a full traffic report' I guess better than nothing, right? At this moment I was given 0 feedback, just accusations.

Not to mention that majority of the offers are VIP whatsoever and same holds will apply regardless.

man they are legit network and of the oldest network around complete you can check on the internet.
You can try their COD offers.

I've been working with Adcombo for many years and everything is good, What kind of Offer did you run: Finance, gambling, Ecom, ...?

Adcombo is literally pushing people only to promote Cash on Delivery products
