@darksoultrip is right, list building is not top priority for affiliate marketing...
Typically the best email optin pages are offering a freebie to lure subscribers who will be entered into an email sequence to slowly turn as much as possible of them them into buyers.
(or the freebie can be a document with affiliate links, or the freebie is a free course/webinar etc...) Give something to people for free so they are happy to provide their contact details in exchange...
When asking for an optin using a landing page redirecting to your affiliate offer, ask yourself why someone would provide you their email address and give you that click you are after!
You are losing out on lots of clicks because there probably is no real incentive for your traffic to provide their email address (unless you can offer a genuine discount, that depends on the affiliate offer)
So you really have two options....
- Do away with the optin form and provide a strong link to the affiliate offer
- See if you can obtain a freebie (maybe ask the affiliate offer if they have something valid or get something made)
If I were you I would start with the first option to see if you can get conversions!
Option 2 is not worth the effort if the offer does not convert... But if it does you can always try option 2 at a later stage to see if that works out... Email sequences are another art
Good luck, keep us posted!
