Hi Friends!

In May, I wrote an article with a specific KW in focus.
As I was not getting much time to monitor the site, I checked the status on GSC last week for the specific URL.

I found one KW generated nearly 450+ visits ( position 8) to date. For a small blog like mine, these are quite good stats for a KW, but I found this when I checked the keyword analytics in SEMrush (FREE stats):

  • Global Volume : 0
  • CPC : 0
  • Results on SERP : 0
Pretty much "0" everywhere!

As I do not use any paid tools (can't afford rather), I check it with another free one (ubersuggest). Here is what I see:

  • Global Volume: 40
  • SEO Difficulty: 6
  • Paid Difficulty: 1
  • CPC : $0.40

Hence, I am curious about the data shown on online tools against my GSC data.

Few question reated to this where I request your comments and feedback:
  1. Is this some hidden gem? Is search volume for this KW near 1K?
  2. Are there many more like these which are not fetched by the tools? If yes, how can one find ways to identify more of such KWs?
  3. Shall I invent a small amount (link building) to get it to the top of the page?
  4. OR, I am just overreacting and experts finds these with paid online tools?

Thanks!!

These are just estimated values that are 12 month average data. May be the keyword just get started searches. So be relax it will count after a while.

Point taken!

Do paid tools find such KW easily?

You can find a lot of these. Forum scrapes come up with longtail keywords that ive found sites rankng for... mostly forums ranking for. Its easy to score the feature snippet on these zero volume ones and im not talking about allintitle:
For e.g. a keyword i saw that had no traffic was like 'How long would it take me to swim from this beach to that beach on an empty stomach".
Ahrefs says this keyword still has zero search volume but im pulling in 50-70 people a month from it on an article 4 weeks old.
