Pinterest shadow ban?

Hey guys.

I recently started working with Pinterest. I have my old account created perhaps a year ago. So, I posted 1-2 pins per day with a link to my website mixing with repins (1 pin:10 repins). A few days later (after the 7th pin) Pinterest stopped showing my pins with links. If I post a pin without the link, it gets 1-2k views on the first day. But If I post a pin with the link, it gets 1-2 views (they're mine, I guess). I tried to post a pin with a random link to a trusted website, it got 30-50 views...

So, does it mean that Pinterest shadowbanned me? Is there any way to get rid of that, or the only option is to create a new account... Also, all my pins are now moderated before publishing.

I do not know what shadowbanned mean but if I was in this case I will use subdomain after transfer all the content on it

Not sure about your case but for me ALL pins are like that.

I read it is to do with unique content and they punish non unique stuff like how you are saying but yours sounds different to that. For me I was using a bot which scraped the best pins from pint and reuploaded them to my account and in mid june this stopped working. I went from getting a few hundred traffic per day on my site from pint down to only 20-30 and all new pins just show the dreaded '-' on view count.

Yours seems a lot more related to the domain as you seem to have figured out yourself. Tbh that would be a much easier problem to fix than this unique content shit. Can you share with me how you get your content? ie is it unique or are you taking from elsewhere? I would love to be in the same position as you as at least you are able to get views somehow! whereas I can't at all since the June update!

There was nothing wrong with the method til the update now it is useless.

I had 100 accounts posting 50-70 and before you say that was the problem I was running like that for ages no prob and knew loads other guys with up to hundreds of accounts.

Oh interesting, u use videos...not tried them yet.

EVERYTHING changed from February 2020 onwards, you need to understand FULLY what Pinterest now wants....if you think you can just spam the shit out of them now, you will just spin your wheels!.

I published my first video pin on July 4th and got tens of thousands of impressions in the next week or so. Fast forward to today, every new pin (either a picture or a video) I put up now gets less than 5-10 views!!

So yeah I agree with the above comment- Pinterest has changed the rules of the game and we need to admit it.

EVERYTHING changed from February 2020 onwards, you need to understand FULLY what Pinterest now wants....if you think you can just spam the shit out of them now, you will just spin your wheels!.

A make a lot of search and they all said you should have a fresh pin ,that what I do I create pins from canva and i upload them on pinterset but no avail I get a few clicks on the link -with 10k views I get 39 link click-, Do you have any ideas what is wrong?

Fresh content is what they want now, and don't post the same url more than once every 2 days. But if you're posting the same URL, make sure the pin has a fresh design - it's now deemed 'spammy' posting the same image/url combination more than once; even if it's in different boards. Also make sure your Keywords in the title and description are on point, and being posted in the most relevant & popular board first. Pinerest has become a lot of fucking work, man. I don't spend half the time on there now like I used to. Try shooting support a message, they'll soon tell you if you have any ban on your account. 100% of my pins got de-indexed this year, and from 10k reach each pin, to 5-10 impressions, I knew something weren't right and they confirmed they had 'mistakenly' put restrictions on my account. Took a few weeks but things got back to how they were.

You can use WMTools to see whether you are Shadowbanned or not over Pinterest.
To resolve the issue, I think you should delete your previous account because Pinterest is not going to allow posting of duplicate content even if it's from your old account. Also, avoid frequent pinning over single posts.

I did everything like you say. What this led to is written in the first post. Now, I don't have any impressions on pins with the link.
