I have recently created on a blog where I am doing posts only, I am not sure how to increase the Domain Authority and Traffic? If you have better suggestions please write to me to help my blog grow.

Thanks
JP.

You need both hands for a clap. Start with web 2.0s and then slowly go with PBNs.

No, contents aren't the only thing helping here. Google has its own way of detecting whether your content is beneficial for the keywords you are targeting or not, which means it at-least needs to have backlinks in order to show that your content is getting backlinks from different websites because of how informative it probably is.

DO NOT blindly build backlinks, build relevant ones that are relevant to both keyword & content. On-page SEO is also important, so make sure your home page + posts are well optimized for the keywords you are targeting, this is where backlinks come in; they help your keyword reach a much better position in the search results.

Creating backlinks using web2.0 sites, Pbn still works, as I am concerned sites may get penalty in the long run using PBN.

Yes, it's hard to get real backlinks from Good blogs, I am doing some bookmarking for the site dont know how much that would help me.

Bookmarking nowadays does not have much affect as it used to before, it's better to focus on a tiered link building strategy rather than randomly building backlinks.

Fast way = PBN, Slow way = Guest posts, web2.0, social signals, etc... (you get my point)

tiered link building strategy
Yes, I got a bit, can you tell me some more about tier link building, as it sounds interesting, I am reading some articles on it too.

Build relevant links, web 2.0, guest post will help to improve site authority. Content and backlinks are important and create valuable content, promote it on high traffic sites will help with traffic.

Here are some of my suggestion to help you increase the traffic and domain authority-:

1. Use keywords research tools like Ubersuggest, Semrush, etc., to search for keywords containing high search volume and lower competition.

2. In order to have high domain authority, you must create backlinks on the relevant sites already having a great domain authority. You can create backlinks through:
  • Blog commenting
  • classify, e.g.; (just dial, Sulekha)
  • Q & A portal (quora)
  • image sharing website
  • video sharing website
  • infographic sites (Pinterest) canva, Pictochart
  • Document sharing website (SlideShare)
3. Keep an eye on your competitors. Using Ahrefs backlinks checker, you can get a list of sites from where your competitors are getting backlinks, and you can also create a backlink on those sites.

You need both content and backlinks.
Publish content , update it regularly,
Add good internal links.
Don't do backlinks aggressively if the site age is less than 6 months.
Optimise your blog with right heading tags ,images and other tags.
Backlinking depends on type of site.
But don't do alot of linking if the site is new.
And "domain authority" is moz's ratings and Google doesn't give a shite about it.

Both content, backlinks are important in SEO. So build high quality content, backlinks, guest posts with relevant backlinks.

Do solid keyword research and carefully plant those keywords on your valuable content. This usually helps. And then try growing organic backlinks.

  • Perform keyword research and opt for keywords having high search volume and lower competition.
  • Include the keyword in your blog post.
  • Include the keywords in the Title tag, meta description, and the alt text of your images.
  • Add internal and external links.
  • Promote your post on social media like Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.
  • Create backlinks on the relevant websites having high domain authority.
  • You can get free, high-quality backlinks and a considerable amount of traffic through websites like Quora and Medium.
Practice above mentioned things, and you will gradually start getting the results.

Content is for websites that are in very low competitive niches. In normal niches or very competitive, the backlinks are even more important than the content.

Both are needed, posts good content and use good links and you will see a lot of improvements by time :)

Good content and high-quality backlinks remain a key factor for ranking in organic searches. One of the most important ranking criteria for Google is the number of referring domains.
