Hey Lovely BHW Folks,



Today I'll share with you guys How I Made Over $10k on UPWORK with Some of the Extremely Easy Jobs. But These Jobs Have High Demand & Rate is High too.



But, to be honest I am not a full-time Upworker. I only work there when I have free time. I started working on Upwork because of Managing Funds for my paid PPC Campaigns.



Okay, I want to make it simple and to the point.



Journey Begins:



After researching a lot about Affiliate Marketing I understood that I need a big Initial Budget to test the things & collect the data for winning Campaigns. But at that time I was sort of Budget. So I feel that first I need to Arrange some Good amount to start the paid campaign. At least $2,000.



I was thinking how can I manage that amount of money? So after researching a few days I feel that Upwork can be a good option for me. I can sell my skill there.



So What is My Skill?



I can make money at Upwork selling my skill. But what kind of skill I have that I can sell on Upwork.



Again after researching a while, I found a few options. I learned & practiced a lot of technical things for affiliate marketing. Such as WordPress, Clickfunnels, Landing Page design, sales funnel, Email Marketing & Social Media, etc . But I was confused about which skill for Upwork between all of them?



Then I thought I'll organize my profile in a creative way that I can sell all of the mentioned skills. So I can apply to only Easy Jobs between all of them.



Optimizing The Upwork Profile:



I found that anyone can optimize their Upwork Profile with 3 variations, So anyone can add three different Skills & bid on different jobs with different profile Structure. Let me clarify it:



I selected 3 Different Skills:



1. Email Campaign Management



I choose this category because I see that there was not a lot of competition & Rate is High. And most Email Marketing Clients already have an established business & bigger budget compared to others. But my plan was that I'll not do any Email Marketing Project. I was looking for only specific Job & Clients: Who already have Email list & Autoresponder ( like: Mailchimp,Klaviyo,Aweber,Active Campaign etc ) & Want someone to Manage their Email Campaign.


I was not comfortable to build anyone's Email List from Scratch !! I decided to work with people who already have established business & Email lists -- So my job just needs to manage their existing things.



2. Social Media Management



Same philosophy here. Only Targeted clients are: Who already have Established business & they are too busy. That's why they have no time to manage their own business social media accounts. So they want to hire someone to manage their social media accounts.


And these Two jobs have a very great Plus point. These jobs are mostly Recurring & Ongoing basis. So Established businesses who have Email List or Social Media Accounts need to manage their Email Campaign or Social Media Accounts Every week, month even year.

So if you manage a couple of clients & satisfy them with your service they will like to pay you month after month even year after year. You don’t need to worry about finding new clients every time.

If you get only 2-3 good clients, You can easily make $1,000+ a month while spending only a couple of hours in your spare time. But the point is here, You should need to know what you are doing here.

3. Wordpress/Sales Funnel Design/Landing Pages


Who wants to create a sales funnel or Landing Pages with Good Budget.


Why did I choose Upwork ? Why did not Created a Marketing Agency?

The Answer is simple. Selling skills is not my main goal. It is just my part-time job to manage a good amount of money for my paid campaigns.

And The Main reason is - I can get Hot leads on upwork who are desperately looking for freelancers for their project. So I don’t need to waste my time & money on finding the client.


But There is Still needs money to buy connects on Upwork ?

I think this is good. Because spammers are afraid of spending money. People who have no skills he/she will not buy connects & apply for the job. That’s why nowadays there is less spamming.

So who will Buy the connects ?

Who has confidence & know how to play the game.

Think of it as a Business. You are Buying Connects that mean You are Buying Hot Leads. So It’s your job to convert the Hot Leads to your dream client.

So you are Investing $12 per month & Getting 80 Connects. If you get only a $200 Job, You are making Profit. ;)


How I structured my Bid?

Let's Say with 80 connects I can Bid on 60 jobs. As I said I planned to Bid on only selected Job - So I divided the Bids with 3 Category.

  1. Email Campaign Management : 15 Jobs
  2. Social Media Management : 15 Jobs
  3. Wordpress/Landing Pages: 15 Jobs

So in this way, I only need to find 15 Qualified jobs in each category which is a good fit for me. That means, Every 2 days I need to find a qualified job. That was not too Hard, Even sometimes each day I see that there were 8-10 qualified jobs posted.



Now It’s Time to Apply on the Job

So it was not easy to get a job for the first time on Upwork without good previous feedback. But when anyone completes a couple of jobs & gets some good feedback it will become easier to get a New Job.

So I thought -- I must need to be Creative. Instead of Writing a Cover Letter -- I started recording video with my smartphone focusing on a particular job post. It was a 1-2 minute long video. In the Video, I explained How can I help my Client with This Particular Project.
(Note: Video should not be a Professional, Ameature Video is Works Great )

My Thinking Was: Clients are every time getting the same boring written cover letter. If I can do something new it can be helpful for me. And BOOM!! It worked for me.:)

Any Tips about What to Say on Video? Or How to write a Cover letter?

First thing is that You just need to have confidence in yourself.

So I want to share two quick tips:

1) Go To Fiverr.com or PPH.com.
Search for your keyword. I.E: Email Marketing, Social Media Management, WordPress, etc. You will find that lot of people are selling the exact same services. Filter it with - Best Seller, Top Rated gigs or find out which gigs are got the highest numbers of sales.

You can get content ideas from these gigs, these gigs are so popular because their content might be good.

2. Search On Google :

Keyword+Services+in+city/country

Ex: "sales funnel design services in Toronto"

Try to find out some cool service based websites by searching for different countries & Cities.

Follow how they structured their service? How they are trying to sell their service?

What are they offering? Is there any specific thing or content that you like?

I think you got the Idea. After researching a few moments you may come up with a lot of ideas about how you can offer your service.

The Process is simple:

Research --> Find The Best Content -->Get The Idea--> Write down the interesting content --> Tweak it & Make it Your Own!!

How To I Fulfill The Project?


It's better to learn properly the skill before Jumping on Upwork. But I want to share some easy hack & Tips with you guys.

It's not possible to write everything details Step by Step with a single post. But If you guys like the content I'll try to write a Post dedicated to How To Fulfill the Content Easily. And Some more Advanced Tips for - How To Attract client & Get Your job Fast.

So, Here is Some secret Hack about How can Fulfill the Project like a pro (Easily )

1. Email Campaign Management :

Learn the Technical Part Properly about 1-2 Email Autoresponder Setup. like: Mailchimp, Aweber, etc.

Almost all of the Email Autoresponder Softwares are easy to use. Anyone can learn it within 2-3 days highest.

a) Go To "clickbank.com". Find any similar product that your client has.

Almost all of Clickbank product has dedicated Affiliate resource section. You can get a lot of product-related Email Swipes.
These are written by professional Email Writers. Tweak them & make it your own.

b) Sign Up to 3-4 Your Clients Competitors Email Newsletter.

Let's Say: Your clients have an e-commerce site for the Baby shop.

Search on Google & look for 3-4 eCommerce sites who are selling baby products. Sign Up for their Email Newsletters. They will send you Promotional/Transactional/Marketing Emails. You can get a lot of ideas about what you need to create for your Client.

Let's Say: Your client is a Dentist. Follow 4-5 Best Dentist on Their Social Media. Just Replicate something Good from all of them. You will get a Lot of Content ideas.

Nice share. And some useful tips in there, which I have used in my own Upwork journeys and made insane amount of money ❤️ Upwork is a gold mine for hot leads. Most clients continue the relationship outside Upwork after the first project.

How long did it take for you to reach $10,000?

Yes Mate, You are Right. Upwork is a gold mine for hot leads.

It takes around 8 Months to Make $10k.

billing rate @ $30/hr hours billed 638 hours = $19140. Sounds like a little disccounting
 
Pretty sure UpWork aren’t allowing anyone to offer themselves currently. Last time I checked my account it was me denied to start working, they said something about having to many workers.

Yes, You are Right. I did a job for one of my long term clients. That was $15/Hour. When I started, my hourly rate was around $15. But When I optimized my profile properly & got a lot of positive feedback then I decided to increase my Hourly rate too.

Pretty sure UpWork aren’t allowing anyone to offer themselves currently. Last time I checked my account it was me denied to start working, they said something about having to many workers.
